Children's Clinic for Speech and Language Disorders

A joint effort of the Scottish Rite Foundation of South Dakota and the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at USD with support from the Sioux Empire United Way. The clinic's purpose is to provide: Evaluation, treatment, and outreach services for children birth to 21 years in the Sioux Falls area with speech, language, and literacy deficits A training site for graduate students in Speech Language/Pathology. Examples of disorders seen include children who are late talking, who have articulation disorders, language disorders, stuttering difficulties, hearing losses, etc. The clinic also serves as a diagnostic center for written language / dyslexia. There is a minimal fee for services; no one is denied due to an inability to pay. Referrals are taken from parents, professionals, and family members.
