Human Services Office | Brookings County

Must reach out to other non-profit organizations in town prior to reaching out. Provides limited emergency financial assistance as a last resort for those considered indigent and are residents of Brookings County. The office may assist if an individual is behind on rent or utilities, or needs prescription medications that insurance doesn't cover, emergency medical expenses, county burials and funerals. They also help with vision referrals to the Lions Club. Individuals must reside in Brookings County to be eligible for services. Assistance is not free, any assistance granted will be liened by Brookings County and will be required to pay back.
