Common Sense Parenting is a product of years of research compiled by Girls and Boys Town, Nebraska. This program is a step-by-step guide for raising responsible children and building strong, happy families. Parents will learn how to reduce family stress, support success in school, enrich parent/child relationships, reduce problem behavior, and diminish yelling and fighting. It teaches skills to help parents build better families. Topics focus on positive/negative consequences, staying calm, teaching self control, effective praise, and parents as teachers. Classes are offered about every 6 weeks. Both at Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety and virtually.

An in-house pharmacy is available as well as mental health counseling services. Dr. Amanda Diehl has more than 20 years of experience and trained on LGBTQ+ health care through the Fenway Institute's National LGBT Health Education Center. In addition, the entire staff has been trained to provide an affirming atmosphere for the LGBTQ+ population.

Food pantry provides groceries to individuals and families in need. Personal hygiene and grooming supplies may be available on a very limited basis.

Provides a nutritious and kid-friendly package of food to children 18 years old or younger in need over the weekends during the summer months. Families may receive one backpack per child once a week. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

A maternal program providing specialized case management to pregnant women with substance and opioid use disorders by equipping them for successful recovery before and after the birth of the child.

Guides soldiers and their families to the help they need through a one-stop call center for veterans. The Sea of Goodwill is one place that will have a list of all the various official and unofficial support services available to help veterans. This program helps veterans find assistance in the areas of; employment, housing, financial assistance, and mental and physical health needs. Available 24 hours per day, the Watertown Police Department 911 Center serves as the call center for the Sea of Goodwill.

Investigates child abuse and neglect cases by working with the State's Attorney, law enforcement, and community resources to determine extent of alleged child abuse or neglect. Other services include adoptions, licensing of foster homes, assessment services, case management, and intensive family services. CSFP program (Commodities): Provides healthy food once a month to low income elderly. A 25-28 lb. box of healthy food and 2-lbs of cheese available once a month. TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program): Provides emergency food assistance at no cost. The only requirement for TEFAP recipients is self-declaration that they fall within the TEFAP income eligibility guidelines. Food Pantry - client choice pantry: Available to those with a gross household income no more than 185% of poverty level. Participants can shop once a month. Quantity of food is based on the size of household. Mitchell Food Pantry is an equal opportunity provider.

The Care Center is the hub of many resources at the Center of Hope. Services provided include computers and phone/fax - Guests can use, at no charge, for resume and employment/job searching; and Pastoral Care - Individuals can receive one on one counseling with the pastoral team, including getting connected with the Earn-Your-Way program. The Family Medicine Residency Clinic provides comprehensive care for the entire family in all phases of life, from childhood to senior years. Services include care for acute and chronic medical problems, care for expectant moms, well-baby visits and immunizations, school sports physicals, OB/GYN, prenatal care, annual check-ups, immunizations, and minor surgical procedures.

Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.

Individual, couples, and family therapy for the treatment of various adjustment problems and psychological disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Special areas of expertise include: pain management, stress management, complicated grief and loss, spirituality issues, parenting adult children, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, parent education, abuse, eating disorders, marital infidelity issues, substance abuse issues, immigration adjustment concerns, and culturally relevant services. Therapeutic methods used include: acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic therapy. Telehealth available for all sessions. May request sessions via telehealth, in-person or a combination. Will teach new clients how to use telehealth services.

Provides skilled nursing facility services with personalized rehabilitation plans including physical, occupational, and speech therapies to help residents regain strength and functionality. Offers short term rehabilitation, long term care, and respite services.
