The Center provides a nutritious, freshly made meal served 11:00am - 12:30pm, Monday - Friday at an affordable price. Over 48 activities that are lead by volunteers. Programs include table games (cards, cribbage, mah jongg, Mexican train dominoes), creative writing, pickleball (6 outdoor courts, 3 indoor courts), pool room, fitness area and more.

Providing a free healthy lunch for children up to 18 years old. The Kansas City Street site will also provide lunch for any adult caregiver who accompanies the children. The Box Elder site will provide grab-and-go bulk items, multiple day snacks and dinners for children under 18. Children do not need to be present. A meal prep box will also be handed out which serves breakfast and lunch for three days. There are no income guidelines or documentation needed. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Provide addictions assessments and mental health therapy to adolescents through adults. Community mental health center offering the following services: Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT) Group for adolescents and adults, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), individual counseling, marriage and family counseling, psychotropic medication management, domestic violence evaluations and follow up services, psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Home Health may be considered for people who are recovering from an illness, injury, or surgery, undergoing treatment, people with disabilities, and those who are chronically ill or terminally ill. Services offered are skilled nursing care, home health aides for personal care, rehabilitation therapy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy), social services, patient/family education, medication monitoring, and nutrition consultation.

Provides insight and information regarding typical behaviors and the stages of development in children. From birth to their first day of school and beyond, Avera's Family Life Educators are available to help every step of the way. Offers a variety of training opportunities for parents, babysitters, and child care centers/providers. Training and classes include personalized Childcare Provider Training, Babysitting Classes for Tweens aged 10-13, and Home Alone Class for children ages 9-13. The Temperament Project can help better understand a child and can help choose appropriate techniques that fit a child's unique approach to life. Completing a Temperament Profile will give an individualized graph containing details of the child's characteristics in each of the 9 Temperament Traits. Equine Assisted Counseling (EAC) is the combined use of horses, a licensed therapist, and a horse specialist working with clients to address various individual treatment goals. EAC is safe and all activities are done from the ground. No riding is involved.

The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Providing a safe, culturally grounded space for Native Youth in Rapid City to foster healing, health, and wellness while building self-determination and strengthening life skills. Center Amenities and Services offered include daily meals and snacks, food/hygiene pantry, access to shower and laundry facilities, social and recreational activities (e.g. basketball and volleyball courts, gaming area, and computer lab), Creative Arts (i.e. on-site recording studio, arts and crafts room), Life Skills Workshops, Homework Help, Tutoring, and an on-site K-12 homeschool option. Additional programs offered include a Street Outreach Team that connects homeless or at-risk youth to basic necessities and Resource Navigators to connect youth and families with vital services ---mentorship, obtaining personal identification documents, pursuing employment opportunities, and/or finding emergency shelter/stable housing.

Services provided by this office are a last resort. If eligibility criteria are met, assistance may include burial assistance, medical expense assistance, utility assistance, and rent assistance.
