Independent Living Skills: Provides hands-on training in daily-living skills including cooking, budgeting, organizing, and more. Information and referral: Connects people with resources which can provide needed information to assist individuals to live independently. Peer counseling: Provides opportunities for people with disabilities to engage with others in small or large groups or on an individual basis. Transition: Facilitates the transition of individuals with disabilities from a nursing home to independent living; providing prevention services to individuals who choose to live independently and not in a nursing home or assisted-living setting; and assisting youth to gain skills as they transition into adulthood. Community Living Services: Assists individuals in obtaining accessible, affordable housing, transportation, and other community living services. Home Modifications Adaptive Devices: Provides home modifications and adaptive devices, which could include ramps, lift chairs, bathroom modifications, reachers, canes, walkers and more. Telecommunication Adaptive Devices: Provides adapted telecommunication services, which includes an emergency phone dialer. American's with Disabilities Act: Serves as educators and consultants for contractors, businesses, organizations, and individuals regarding the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its guidelines and requirements. Assistive Daily Living Services: Provides services for people ages 18 and older, with physical disabilities affecting all four limbs, who need assistance with daily living activities. Services include program education and support and personal attendant services. Home Again South Dakota: Provides options for older adults and/or people with disabilities living in nursing homes, hospitals, or long-term care facilities to enable them to successfully return to their homes and communities. Helps individuals identify barriers to living on their own, helps them find a place to live that meets their needs, and helps them find the services and supports they need to continue living independently.

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program designed to assist families and their children during the developmental years of 3-5 years of age. The program provides for health care services, educational services, and special needs services for the enrolled child and the opportunity for parents to be engaged in the decision making processes that affect their child's readiness for school. Items are made available to anyone in Custer County at no charge. In case of emergencies/crisis the Storehouse is opened to fill specific needs (i.e. family evacuated from burned home). The items available vary based on donations received (household items and clothing).

Individual, family, and couples therapy to all ages including children, adolescent, as well as married, never married, separating, or divorcing families. Areas of focus include work and career adjustment, stress management, grief and loss, parenting skills, conflict management, custody, co-parenting education, custody evaluations, parenting time, divorce, community supervised visitation (for children, elderly and disabled individuals requiring supervision), financial, and Ag mediation. A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

No delivery service available. Located across the street from Laura B. Anderson Elementary School, this 1-hour, 5:00pm - 6:00pm, Tuesday food giveaway provides a variety of breads, treats, cupcakes, pizza, and sandwiches.

First request for food assistance will be handled on a current needs basis following a short interview process with the coordinators of the food bank, the Pastor of Little White Church, or office secretary. An application for assistance will need to be completed providing contact information. A confidential record of usage will be maintained in the church office. Users of the Food Pantry will be provided bags of food for 3 consecutive weeks. This amount of food should help a struggling family or individual to get back on solid ground. Following the first 3 weeks, users of the Food Pantry can access usage of the Food Pantry every other week receiving 2 bags of food per person according to posted limitations. If there is a change in an individual's circumstances additional assistance may be considered at the direction of the coordinators of the food bank, the Pastor of Little White Church, or office secretary.

Medical services that are offered include allergy, asthma, and immunology, dermatology, ear, nose, and throat, family medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, interventional pain, ophthalmology, optometry, pediatrics, podiatry, and rheumatology.

Provides auditor and welfare services. Auditor services include: auditing of all financial records of the County; apportioning of taxes collected by the Treasurer to be disbursed to the schools, cities, and other special assessment entities; county accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgets, and tax levy; beer and liquor licensing; county liens; recorder of the minutes for the Board of County Commissioners; maintains all voter records; Notary Public services (some fees may apply); and administers all elections at the county level or above Welfare services include medical assistance, utility assistance (disconnect notice on heating bill required), and burial and funeral assistance.

Clinic locations offer family care to Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. Provides a variety of services for family and primary care (including flu shots) as well as prenatal care and OB/GYN. The Emergency Food Assistance Program helps supplement the diets of low-income families by providing emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. A county wide service owned and operated by the City of Flandreau. It offers Emergency Medical Services provides a 24-hour Advanced Life Support Ambulance for all City of Flandreau residents and visitors to the City. Provides stand-by services for fires, athletic events, and other community functions. The ambulance team can also provide CPR/First Aid Training, car seat checks, and other community education.
