The Mobile Food Distribution, a program of Feeding South Dakota, distributes free food to individuals and families throughout the state. Each family receives nutritious foods such as fresh and frozen produce, meat, shelf-stable items, dairy products, boxed meals, and more. The types of food distributed vary depending on what is available at the current time. Distributions operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests can receive food once each calendar month. Guests can establish someone to pick up food for them by completing the English Proxy form or the Spanish Proxy form. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is a supplemental food program that enables eligible households to obtain a more nutritious diet. Eligibility is determined by income, resources, and household size. Lost, stolen, or damaged EBT (SNAP) cards must call customer service to report the loss of your card. You will need to enter the card number. If you do not have the card, stay on the line for a second prompt and press 2. Reporting an EBT card as lost, stolen, or damaged will result in that card being declined.

Providing services and resources for Houseless Relatives including mail distribution to receive mail and packages once an individual completes a mail registration form, a Clothing Closet with essential clothing and personal items when available, daily access to Showers & Laundry (on a first-come, first-served basis), daily meal, food bags, and a Resource Center with computer and phone access for job applications, housing applications, and other resources. Housing Resources is an access point for Coordinated Entry.

Tanager Take Out is a food pantry open to families with students ages 3-18 years currently enrolled in the Vermillion School District who need food over the weekend. Tanager Take Out allows families to select and pack their own food.

Family Support 360 (FS 360) helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families get the services they need to live in their own home and community as independently as possible. FS 360 is self-directed, which allows the person or their guardian to choose their staff and schedule based on their needs.

Offers addiction and mental health services. Licensed professionals provide assessments, outpatient treatment and referrals to specialty care. Crisis assistance, family therapy, support groups and clients are offered resources for cultural/spiritual guidance. Outreach services are provided to the school and corrections.

Locates children that are new born to 5 years of age who are suspected of having developmental delays or mental and/or physical disabilities in order to provide early intervention services. Services include screening children for developmental delays, referring children requiring further evaluation to the appropriate agencies, and providing parents with training, educational materials, and monetary and transportation assistance. This program also hosts parent support group meetings, workshops, and health fairs.

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program designed to assist families and their children during the developmental years of 3-5 years of age. The program provides for health care services, educational services, and special needs services for the enrolled child and the opportunity for parents to be engaged in the decision making processes that affect their child's readiness for school.
