An intensive, outpatient, 12-step recovery-based center for alcohol and drugs. Services are provided by certified chemical dependency counselors including assessments - by appointment, walk-in or virtual, day and evening treatment programs, adolescent programs, 12 hour DUI class, Intensive Methamphetamine Treatment (IMT) offered with state approval only, and a Recovery Maintenance Group. This office is located close to the SAM (Sioux Area Metro) Orange bus route.

An all volunteer organization which enables all families and other associated with an autistic, Asperger's or Pervasive Development Disorder to have access to support groups, meetings, and additional information and resources. Affiliate of the Autism Society of America. Services include support group meetings, summer sports camp, referral services, email support, and life skills support.

Investigates child abuse and neglect cases by working with the State's Attorney, law enforcement, and community resources to determine extent of alleged child abuse or neglect. Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota are funding lunch at no charge for seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren. ​The Black Hills Area Community Foundation will fund lunch for adults (19-59 years old) accompanying their children. Providing a free healthy lunch for children up to 18 years old. The Kansas City Street site will also provide lunch for any adult caregiver who accompanies the children. The Box Elder site will provide grab-and-go bulk items, multiple day snacks and dinners for children under 18. Children do not need to be present. Center Amenities and Services offered include daily meals and snacks, food/hygiene pantry, access to shower and laundry facilities, social and recreational activities (e.g. basketball and volleyball courts, gaming area, and computer lab), Creative Arts (i.e. on-site recording studio, arts and crafts room), Life Skills Workshops, Homework Help, Tutoring, and an on-site K-12 homeschool option. Additional programs offered include a Street Outreach Team that connects homeless or at-risk youth to basic necessities and Resource Navigators to connect youth and families with vital services ---mentorship, obtaining personal identification documents, pursuing employment opportunities, and/or finding emergency shelter/stable housing.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Offers parenting classes using 2 different Love and Logic parenting curriculums. Love and Logic Adults Supporting Youth With Challenging Pasts (ASYWCP) is a trauma-focused parenting curriculum. ASYWCP is suitable for professionals and families with older children and/or a mix of ages. It is also helpful for adults who have a history of their own trauma. Parenting the Love and Logic Way is suitable for professionals and families with children of all ages, including young children. Each curriculum is comprised of 6 modules, generally taught in 2-hour blocks of time but can be adjusted to meet individual, family and group needs and circumstances. Participants receive a workbook, certificate of completion, 12-15 hours of instruction and on-going support for up to 6 months following course completion if desired. Classes provided at mutually agreed locations including but not limited to libraries and churches.
