• Emergency Rental Assistance

Must be behind (i.e.: if rent is due on the 5th, come for assistance after the 5th). Eviction notice is not required, however, there will be a form the landlord needs to complete the verify rent is past due.

YFS Home-Based Head Start is a federally-funded, no-cost, parent-focused educational program that serves income-eligible families with children, birth to age 5, and expectant parents. YFS Home-Based Head Start strives to support parents as their child's primary educators and advocates. Degreed staff work with families in their homes to provide parents with tools and resources that increase their family's self-sufficiency and enhance their children's social skills and school readiness. YFS Home-Based Head Start provides services in Pennington, Meade, Lawrence, Custer, Fall River, Jackson, and Haakon counties. Head Start® is a registered trademark of HHS.

Provides logistical and financial support to people who must travel to, from, or within the Midwest to access abortion care. Includes booking, funding, and reimbursing accommodations, childcare, food, and more. ​

Provides services for individual, couples, children, and family counseling as well as anger evaluations, and anger management. Committed to helping people who are experiencing emotional, psychological, personal, or family problems to increase hope and fulfill their treatment goals for a better life.

This is an invite-only event for specific Sioux Falls Public Schools. Shoe giveaway for children attending Title 1 Schools in the Sioux Falls School District. ​In order to receive shoes, call child's school to get an invite via email, text or in-person.

Clinic services offered include Preventative Care, Pediatrics, Pregnancy Care, Women's Health, 3D Mammograms, Lab Work, and Imaging.

The Family Medicine Residency Clinic provides comprehensive care for the entire family in all phases of life, from childhood to senior years. Services include care for acute and chronic medical problems, care for expectant moms, well-baby visits and immunizations, school sports physicals, OB/GYN, prenatal care, annual check-ups, immunizations, and minor surgical procedures.

Provides meat, eggs, milk vouchers, produce, bakery items, canned goods, bread and other items from Feeding South Dakota, local grocery stores and restaurants, and private donations to people in need.

Providing assistance to those who have worked on a farm or ranch within the past two years. If eligible, depending upon availability of funds, services may include: on the job training assistance, job search/placement assistance, financial support for education training and job placement, and supportive services such as, but not limited to: rental assistance and transportation costs, daycare expenses, tools, uniforms, and food.

Provides assistance with all utilities including electricity, natural gas, and water to those with a disconnect notice. Assistance is limited to $100.00 once every six months.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Immaculate Conception attempts to provide assistance to those in need (within a 30-mile radius of Watertown) with rent/mortgage assistance, food assistance, cleaning supplies/hygiene products, gas assistance, and utilities assistance.

The Auditor is the keeper of County records and acts as a bookkeeper of County business. The Auditor is responsible for County Commissioner meetings including scheduling, agenda, business follow-up, Preparing the County's budget, Audit bills or other claims against the County and prepare the warrants in payment of these bills, Figuring the mil levy, and Head election officer of the County. Notary Public services available. Some fees may apply. Based on eligibility guidelines, Welfare services include medical assistance, utilities assistance for disconnect notices on heating bills, and burial and funeral assistance.

Offering multi-specialty health care services such as 3D mammography, family medicine, lab, x-ray, and ultrasound services, obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN), pediatrics, prenatal care, physical therapy, sexual health and intimacy care, and women's health services. Also offers behavioral health services such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Provides housing rental assistance to low-income families, seniors and disabled individuals as well as security deposit assistance.

Provides marriage and family counseling, pregnancy counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed counseling, career counseling, domestic violence/spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, child abuse survivor counseling, parent counseling, and telemental health.

Provides free lunch to any child ages 0-18 from Thursday, May 28, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026.There will be no meals served on Friday, July 3, 2026. ​ Note: All meals must be consumed on site and not taken out for consumption. Provides emergency assistance for those in either Minnehaha/Lincoln County with rent and deposits, Utility bills: Must have a disconnect notice for water, lights, or heating; Food and non-food items, Burial: Clients should begin by choosing a funeral home and meet with them prior to applying for assistance through Minnehaha County. Also provides transportation assistance, dental care, medical care (hospitalization) and Medications. Minnehaha County residents can also receive assistance with Shelter, Gasoline or bus ticket for transients/nonresidents stranded here and needing to get home. Out of town travel assistance is not offered to MC residents. Identification and or birth certificate (if needed for the purposes of obtaining employment/housing). The majority of assistance provided is in the form of a no-interest loan for which a lien is created. The client does not receive any bill from County but is expected to repay the debt, starting in a time frame created by the caseworker. Applicants can choose to walk-in to the office or receive a phone call to complete an interview. Those applying for transportation, medications or ID/BC assistance should come into the office to apply.

Rapid City utility customers can apply for a reduction of their monthly utility charges through the Utility Rate Relief Program. The program is designed to lower the monthly utility expense for senior citizens and people with disabilities. If qualified, the rates charged for all utility services billed to the applicant will be reduced by 25 percent for a period of two years or until the renewal date established by the Public Works Director. Applications are accepted at any time, but renewal requests must be received by April 30 of odd numbered years for participants to remain on the program.

Provides insight and information regarding typical behaviors and the stages of development in children. From birth to their first day of school and beyond, Avera's Family Life Educators are available to help every step of the way. Offers a variety of training opportunities for parents, babysitters, and child care centers/providers. Training and classes include personalized Childcare Provider Training, Babysitting Classes for Tweens aged 10-13, and Home Alone Class for children ages 9-13. The Temperament Project can help better understand a child and can help choose appropriate techniques that fit a child's unique approach to life. Completing a Temperament Profile will give an individualized graph containing details of the child's characteristics in each of the 9 Temperament Traits. NeSoDak - Located on a beautiful Glacial Lake, NeSoDak provides a safe place for youth to build relationships, develop new skills and live in a grace-filled community. NeSoDak specializes in summer youth programs, including 1-2-3 camps (two nights) for elementary youth, half-week and week-long camps for middle school through junior high youth, Servant Journey and adventures camps. Klein Ranch - Klein Ranch is a unique camp that offers youth the opportunity to begin to stretch their boundaries, and abilities, as they ride horses on 2,300 acres of Wild West ranch country. Campers can spend a week exploring the prairie on horseback and participating in other activities, such as hiking the mini badlands, having an overnight campout, playing games and more. Through the camp's small group community, youth strengthen their identity and gain depth in their faith. At Klein Ranch, youth also develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and for others as they care for the animals at the camp. Outlaw Ranch - Located amongst granite outcroppings in the southern Black Hills, Outlaw Ranch is open year round, offering summer youth camps, family camp, year round retreats for youth and adults, as well as hosting business gatherings and family reunions. Outlaw Ranch is known across the country for its top notch family camps, bringing youth and families together.

Providing individual, couples, and family counseling. Treatment specialization includes: depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobia, Gottman Method Couples counseling, social anxiety, sexual problems, relationship issues, medical and health concerns, grief and loss, work and career issues, stress management, addiction and recovery, parenting and family issues, conflict resolution, child and adolescent therapy, anger management evaluation and treatment, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sexual assault and domestic violence issues, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Brainspotting, and discernment counseling. Services are available in person and via telehealth.

Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is a supplemental food program that enables eligible households to obtain a more nutritious diet. Eligibility is determined by income, resources, and household size. Lost, stolen, or damaged EBT (SNAP) cards must call customer service to report the loss of your card. You will need to enter the card number. If you do not have the card, stay on the line for a second prompt and press 2. Reporting an EBT card as lost, stolen, or damaged will result in that card being declined.
