The Office of Homeless Education facilitates the enrollment, attendance, and success of children and youth in transitional housing in the Sioux Falls School District. The term "homeless children and youth" is defined by law as individuals who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, including those who are sharing the housing of other persons; are living in motels, hotels, trailer parks, or campgrounds; are living in emergency or transitional shelters; are abandoned in hospitals; are awaiting placement in foster care; are living in cars, parks, public spaces, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, bus/train stations or similar settings; and migratory children living in the above circumstances. Referrals are made for assistance with various needs the student may have.

Works with children through geriatric age. Services provided include individual therapy, family therapy, and marital therapy. A clothing store featuring chic, new or barely used clothing for children to adults. The boutique is a non-profit endeavor to assist persons in the community who may find themselves in a disadvantaged position. A free-will offering is accepted and any money received is put back into the boutique for clothing or supplies.

Provides personalized selections delivered to the patron in their residence. There is no cost for this service. Coteau des Prairies (CDP) Health Care System is a 25-bed, critical access acute care, community non-profit hospital serving approximately 21,000 residents in the Glacial Lakes Region in north east South Dakota, and west central Minnesota.
