Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.
Works to bring immigrants, immigrant advocates, and non-immigrant community members together to deepen their relationships and cultural understanding. Nearly all efforts are focused on Latin immigrants. Immigrant families in need are provided food, furniture, school supplies, household items, and diapers. Also provides organizing community English classes and connecting ESL volunteers with new English language learners, networking with immigration service providers in Eastern South Dakota, creating a general referral service for immigrants needing assistance, arranging translation services when needed, assisting families with their efforts to change immigration status, and community outreach to educate the non-immigrant community about obstacles immigrants experience in the Brookings area.

For anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy, All About U provides crisis pregnancy counseling, help finding emotional support, help finding necessary resources, emotion support throughout adoption and beyond, if adoption is chosen, emergency transitional housing available, and general case management for resources: connection to prenatal care, housing, food, clothing, addiction, and more. For adoptive families, All About U provides training to help them through the adoption process and prepare them to be an adoptive family, home studies, and on-going support for adoptive families.
