Mental Health services include individual, couples and family counseling, 24-hour QMHP services, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, school consultations, and employee assistance programs (EAP). Alcohol and Drug Program treatment approach is based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and reality therapy. Services offered include individual counseling, chemical assessments, DUI education program, outpatient treatment, prevention education program, and a relapse prevention group. Case Management and IMPACT Programs, designed to help clients with severe and persistent mental illness, services include case management and continued care, medication management with psychiatrist, crisis intervention assistance, and psychiatric rehabilitation which seeks to provide program services that assist clients in developing skills and manage resources needed to allow them to be successful in the community. Carroll Institute Project Awareness Prevention Program contracts with area school districts to provide evidence-based prevention programming in the classroom K-12th grade by counselors trained in working with adolescents with varying backgrounds in prevention, school counseling, and mental health counseling. Provides assessments and screening to students with referral services to appropriate levels of care. Diversion Program available for young adults ages 18-20 with no substance use diagnosis outside of tobacco use.

Offers parenting classes using 2 different Love and Logic parenting curriculums. Love and Logic Adults Supporting Youth With Challenging Pasts (ASYWCP) is a trauma-focused parenting curriculum. ASYWCP is suitable for professionals and families with older children and/or a mix of ages. It is also helpful for adults who have a history of their own trauma. Parenting the Love and Logic Way is suitable for professionals and families with children of all ages, including young children. Each curriculum is comprised of 6 modules, generally taught in 2-hour blocks of time but can be adjusted to meet individual, family and group needs and circumstances. Participants receive a workbook, certificate of completion, 12-15 hours of instruction and on-going support for up to 6 months following course completion if desired. Classes provided at mutually agreed locations including but not limited to libraries and churches.

The CWOY Support Navigator program is designed to provide support for American Indian youth, adults, and their families in the He Sapa area who struggle with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. CWOY Support Navigators act as mentors, advocates, and resource guides for American Indian youth, adults, and families needing support for their healing and personal growth. Services offered include one-on-one mentorship, advocacy, individualized care planning, outings, activities and workshops, transportation to appointments, collaboration with behavioral health resources, coordination for success in academic programs, communication with family members, connecting participants to peer and community programs in support of healing goals, skill-building, mental health counseling, and therapeutic circles.

Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Providing free, confidential pregnancy counseling, options counseling, and adoption services to help with decision making across the state of South Dakota. Pregnancy counseling assists in looking at priorities by helping assess the physical, emotional and financial aspects of both parenting and making an adoption plan. Services are also available via Zoom or phone if necessary.

Children and caregivers connected to The Foster Network may be eligible for support related to sports, extracurricular activities, and other enriching experiences. Before submitting a request, families should first explore discounts, reduced rates, and any other available local or state funding sources. When additional support is still needed, The Foster Network may help submit eligible requests through One Simple Wish, which connects specific needs with donors who choose to fulfill them. Furniture Assistance- The Foster Network helps connect families with bedroom furniture when a new placement, changing household needs, or sibling group placement creates an immediate need.

A community meal is held on Wednesday evenings. It is open to anyone who wants to come.

GROW South Dakota provides emergency assistance to help individuals/families pay for utilities, or other emergency needs. Assistance is limited to those in the service area who have not received funds within the last year. Income and program guides may apply. Availability of funding is limited; funds may not always be available.

A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.
