Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota are funding lunch at no charge for seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren. ​The Black Hills Area Community Foundation will fund lunch for adults (19-59 years old) accompanying their children. Meals are either a hot or cold lunch including a grain, protein, fruit/vegetable, and milk. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Backpack School program - weekend food for Beresford School students. Faith in Action also networks clients with other organizations/ resources that may help them with their situation.

Additional programs offered include a Street Outreach Team that connects homeless or at-risk youth to basic necessities and Resource Navigators to connect youth and families with vital services ---mentorship, obtaining personal identification documents, pursuing employment opportunities, and/or finding emergency shelter/stable housing.

Provides assistance for those in the Whitewood area only (cannot assist individuals from Spearfish or other areas). Services provided might include utility payments on a case by case basis, clothing, food, gas, financial education, training and education assistance, and micro-loans (0% interest) for rent deposit; amount must be repaid.
