The student food cupboard is a campus resource that provides free food and essential supplies to students experiencing food insecurity, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals and can focus on their education without the added stress of hunger.

Providing one week of supplemental food, based on household size, to people in Clay County. It is a client-choice food pantry in which guests can choose food for themselves and their families to fit their health and nutrition needs. Residents can visit the food pantry one time a month. The Vermillion Food Pantry is part of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).

A church food pantry that provides emergency non-perishable food free of charge for anyone in need. Church food pantry can be utilized once a month and offers one bag per person. Food is donation based so food can not be guaranteed.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program helps supplement the diets of low-income families by providing emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. Household Voucher: Items used to cook and eat a meal or other household goods such as bed linens, towels, etc. are available from the thrift store 1 time every 3 years. Items are based upon availability and may vary. To qualify, a picture ID is required along with a current lease or rental agreement. Clothing Voucher: Clothing assistance is available every 6 months per individual from thrift store. To qualify, a picture ID is required along with verification for additional individuals in the household such as medical cards, birth certificates, etc. Items are based upon availability and may vary. Pathway of Hope: Long term case management program to help individuals and families move beyond crisis into stability and self sufficiency. To qualify, individuals are required to meet with a caseworker to design a plan to meet goals, needs and objectives (goal setting, financial counseling, assistance getting healthcare, educational opportunities, etc.). A youth organization that provides a safe place for kids to go after school and during the summer on week days. Members participate in a variety of activities such as homework help/tutoring, organized sports programs, Youth for Unity, Teen Center, and guided activities on character and leadership, education and career skills, and healthy living/active lifestyles. Snacks are provided.

Offers the following programs: Meals on Wheels Participants can also request delivery, pick-up, or are welcome to dine in. Need to call by 9:00am that day to register at 605-852-2417 for either pick up or dine in. Feeding South Dakota Senior Box Program: Pick-up Site Participants must be 60 or older and meet income guidelines - a household income at or below 150-percent of the federal poverty income guidelines published annually by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Guests can choose from a selection of items. This is an emergency pantry that families can utilize once per month. Guests will be asked to provide some form of ID for tracking purposes.

A no-cost warm, home-cooked meal served every Monday night (except major holidays) with supervised children's area with activities; diapers and baby wipes available each week; household items (toilet paper, etc.); and personal care items (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.).

Provides free resources for families that have a child in the Sioux Falls School District during the school year. Services include food pantry, hygiene items, winter gear, socks and underwear, access to computer/internet, space to connect with social worker for assistance, and birthday closet. Services are not offered during the summer.

Mobile food pantry that may be utilized once a month by families and/or individuals. There are no referrals required to receive this service. Individuals MUST enter the church and bring a valid form of ID. This program does not do delivery and is not an emergency food option.

Provides an evening meal for those in need. Meals will be served out of the Nightwatch Van. Meal delivery services are not available.

A community meal is held twice a month. Deliveries available.

Providing free lunch for children 18 years old or younger. Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota are funding lunch at no charge for seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren. ​The Black Hills Area Community Foundation will fund lunch for adults (19-59 years old) accompanying their children.
