When additional support is still needed, The Foster Network may help submit eligible requests through One Simple Wish, which connects specific needs with donors who choose to fulfill them. Furniture Assistance- The Foster Network helps connect families with bedroom furniture when a new placement, changing household needs, or sibling group placement creates an immediate need.

Backpack School program - weekend food for Beresford School students. Faith in Action also networks clients with other organizations/ resources that may help them with their situation.

Assistance may only be given 1 time every 6 months. Household Boxes: For those needing assistance with items used to cook and eat a meal. A lease must be shown to the caseworker in order to receive assistance. Assistance is limited according to what is available at the time. Pathway of Hope: Program for eligible families. Long term case management program to help families move beyond crisis into stability and becoming self-sufficient. Families will be required to meet with a caseworker to design a plan to meet goals, needs and objectives (ex. goal setting, assistance getting healthcare, educational opportunities, etc).

First request for food assistance will be handled on a current needs basis following a short interview process with the coordinators of the food bank, the Pastor of Little White Church, or office secretary. An application for assistance will need to be completed providing contact information. A confidential record of usage will be maintained in the church office. Users of the Food Pantry will be provided bags of food for 3 consecutive weeks. This amount of food should help a struggling family or individual to get back on solid ground. Following the first 3 weeks, users of the Food Pantry can access usage of the Food Pantry every other week receiving 2 bags of food per person according to posted limitations. If there is a change in an individual's circumstances additional assistance may be considered at the direction of the coordinators of the food bank, the Pastor of Little White Church, or office secretary.

Option 1: TEFAP Food Only: Protein along with nutritional staple(s). If no ID, complete 1 TEFAP Self Declaration form Option 2: TEFAP & Other Food: Protein, canned goods along with nutritional staples. Household Voucher: Items used to cook and eat a meal or other household goods such as bed linens, towels, etc. are available from the thrift store 1 time every 3 years. Items are based upon availability and may vary. To qualify, a picture ID is required along with a current lease or rental agreement. Clothing Voucher: Clothing assistance is available every 3 months per individual from thrift store. To qualify, a picture ID is required along with verification for additional individuals in the household such as medical cards, birth certificates, etc. Items are based upon availability and may vary. Provides food to those who are food insecure in the Yankton School District through 2 programs: The Sack Pack Program provides packs on a weekly basis to school aged children in need of food over the weekend. Families register for Sack Pack at the beginning of the school year. The school staff help distribute the packs. The School Food Pantry is open to any families that are food insecure with children attending school in the Yankton school district. The pantry is open once a month usually on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
