Holds rummage sales at various times during the year. Making items (clothing, household items, etc.) available at low cost. Proceeds go to local organizations such as schools, food banks, Veteran organizations, Hope Harbor, Alpha Center, delinquent school lunches, and families that have had disasters.

Any student in need of basic daily essentials. Students can discuss their needs in confidence with any school staff member OR any school staff member can recognize a student's needs they would like to address. If the school does not currently have the needed items, the school will reach out to the MSD Caring Closet and volunteers will do their best to help fulfill the student's needs. Student's use and/or request of items is completely confidential.

This agency operates the following programs: Air Conditioners - Must be income eligible (125%), be signed up at the agency and have a medical statement stating they need an AC. Also cannot have received one in the last 3 years. Distribution is primarily in June of each year. Please call for an appointment. Medical Prescription Assistance - Financial assistance may be offered for those with a medical prescription. Medical Equipment Lending - Available for those in need of bathtub seats, shower and tub rails. Thrift Store - Low cost items with proceeds going to fund special projects. Open 10:00am - 2:00pm (MT), Monday - Friday.

Benefits the Club for Boys and offers a large variety of merchandise to purchase including games and toys, sporting equipment, tools, household and hardware items, appliances, furniture, clothing, and crafts.

Offers 1 pack of diapers / month for each child in diapers. Baby and kids clothes as well as other baby related items. Kids clothes can go up to youth sizes 14-16, but mostly kids clothes up to toddler size 5.

The Closet in Flandreau (Moody County) has clothing and other household goods for persons who wish to use the store's services. If an income-eligible person or family cannot afford to purchase the clothing, the Community Service Worker in that county can provide a voucher that allows the person or family to get the clothing at no charge.

Those in need can find new and gently used items for a minimal cost. The store offers everything from furniture, household, and crafts items to clothing for men, women and children. Earnings from the store are used to directly assist those in need by helping pay rent, utilities, food, clothing, household, transportation for work and medical, prescriptions, and other necessities.

The Care Center is the hub of many resources at the Center of Hope. Services provided include computers and phone/fax - Guests can use, at no charge, for resume and employment/job searching; and Pastoral Care - Individuals can receive one on one counseling with the pastoral team, including getting connected with the Earn-Your-Way program. Weekly programs include:

Serves 8 community partners throughout South Dakota including shelters and 2 Children's Home locations. Through various partners and promotions, including Carters and Scholastic, pajamas and books are donated and distributed to children in need. *Please note, this program is not able to furnish individuals/families with new pajamas or books directly.
