The Connection Center is a place for people in the community to call in and feel heard. Connection Center volunteers help assess the needs of the caller and are able to provide a referral to the most appropriate help source. Once their need is verified and understood more fully, participants work side-by-side with church volunteers. St. Vincent DePaul (SVDP) Thrift Stores throughout the United States are mutually formed in an association of lay employees and volunteers dedicated to serve needy sisters and brothers. For those who cannot afford the clothing, furniture and other household items may be provided them through a Vincentian referral/voucher system. The SVDP Thrift Store aims to serve the needs of people in our community, show people the love of Jesus, and generate money to meet the physical needs of people in need of housing, clothing, gas, food, etc. Surplus funds will be dedicated to the support of Parish Conferences and charitable causes of the Society approved by our District Council.
