The Contact Center helps residents of Yankton County with the following:
A food pantry
Utility assistance, including past due and disconnect bills for water, lights, and heating
Gasoline
Partial rent
Representative payee system
Emergency medication assistance
- Children's backpacks available. Typically available in August.
2024: Collaboration with United Way. August 15, 2024 at Contact Center 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Students must be enrolled in the Yankton School District. Deadline to register for a backpack is August 9, 2024.
Contact Center does not help with any kind of deposit (rent, utility, etc).

Services include supportive housing for adults, rapid re-housing for families, homeless prevention for families, rental assistance, utility assistance, financial advising and education, food box program, clothing closet for adult and children, representative payee services for individuals on SSI/SSDI, and street outreach.
