Support group for women who have witnessed or experienced violence in a relationship. These groups seek to provide support and feedback to women who have been emotionally, sexually, or physically abused in their relationships. Topics of discussion include: the dynamics of domestic violence, crisis issues caused by domestic violence, the impact of traumatic experiences on daily living, staying safe, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.The women's support groups are open and may be joined by anyone at any time. No pre-registration is required to attend and groups are offered free of charge.

Provides 24-hour shelter for domestic violence / sexual assault victims and their children. The purpose of this agency is to provide a safe, warm environment for individuals and families whose lives are impacted by violence in the home. - 24-hour hotline that is answered by trained advocates - Weekly domestic violence support group - Weekly parenting class (Common Sense Parenting) - Education for clients on choices - Assistance is provided in obtaining a new home if needed - Assistance with Protection Orders and going to court proceedings - River City Family Visitation Center Individuals wishing to donate to the program should visit the website and see what is currently on the wish list.

Services offered include: EMDR; child therapy for children ages 5 and older; crisis counseling for individuals staying in shelter; on-going therapeutic counseling with a masters-level therapist. Telehealth available.

Programs and services include: - Shelter facility in Pierre - Community crisis line with a toll free number - Crisis intervention - Telephone and face-to-face crisis counseling and advocacy Victim services include: - Criminal and court support services - Transportation - Emergency financial assistance - Referrals and assistance with housing, social services, legal services, and other resources within the community. - Legal advocacy - Referrals to licensed counselors - Support groups including: - Hands are Not For Hitting Group for children ages 6-12 who have been victimized by domestic violence or sexual assault. - Pattern Changing Group for women who have been victimized by domestic violence. Child care is available. Community education is available to schools, civic groups, or interested community members on topics of preventing domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault.

The CWOY Support Navigator program is designed to provide support for American Indian youth, adults, and their families in the He Sapa area who struggle with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. CWOY Support Navigators act as mentors, advocates, and resource guides for American Indian youth, adults, and families needing support for their healing and personal growth. Services offered include: - One-on-one mentorship - Advocacy - Individualized care planning - Outings, activities and workshops - Transportation to appointments - Collaboration with behavioral health resources - Coordination for success in academic programs - Communication with family members - Connecting participants to peer and community programs in support of healing goals - Skill-building - Mental health counseling - Therapuetic circles
