Provides the following services - workforce development training, basic adult education, computer skills training, CPR certification, English language classes, citizenship preparation, career development, job readiness preparation and test proctoring (in Central SD), training and support for child care providers, computer lab, Free Wi-Fi, parenting classes, Online GED preparation classes, Test proctoring, Corporate training, Employment training, information & referral for immigrants & refugees, Child Care Resource & Referral Agency (CCR&R), training and technical assistance for child care providers, Barton Tutoring for individuals with dyslexia, and Tutoring services.

Networks with all educational entities to include tribal schools, Head Start and early learning programs, Sisseton-Wahpeton College, and area public schools. Coordinates and advocates for education services for SWO tribal members.

Improves community life and the lives of individuals by providing positive experiences and learning opportunities. Community Education offers a variety of classes including on-line classes, music, language, computer, physical and emotional health and fitness, home property, hobby, travel, and personal enrichment for adults and youth. Gold Card events are offered during the school year for ages 60+ in this district. Summer camp information is listed in the Community Education Spring Catalog and on Facebook. Driver education classes are offered at each high school for high school age students in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Offers the following programs: healthcare career exploration guidance, K-12 student outreach and engagement, Area Health Education Center Scholars (a leadership program for health science college students), Scrubs Camps, South Dakota Health Occupations Students of America Future Health Professionals, and additional school and community healthcare focused programming.
