A training designed to help caregivers see and meet the needs of children and youth from hard places. This model is based on three sets of interacting principles: connecting, empowering, and correction. This course moves from theory to practical application.
A 10 week intensive counseling program for adoptive and foster families with children ages 5-12. Program activities include caregiver education, kids club, and family therapy. Based on Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) principles, HALO program was created by Cindy Lee at HALO Project and has shown amazing results for this population.

Works to increase identification of youth and families who have been exposed to traumatic stress and shorten the time it takes to get them into effective treatment programs. Offers free screenings to children who may be experiencing traumatic stress, and then, if information warrants, a full assessment will be scheduled. Youth and families who are identified as experiencing traumatic stress will be referred to appropriate treatment providers. Treatments available at YFS include: - Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy - Child parent psychotherapy - Equine Therapy - Problematic sexual behavior-cognitive behavioral therapy - Prolonged exposure therapy - Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) - Integrative treatment for complex trauma - Motivational interviewing Also assists community mental health providers' expansion of trauma-focused knowledge and skills through education, training, and collaboration.
