Child Care Support Program | Helpline Center

Call the Helpline Center and you will be provided with a list of day care providers and preschool or school age programs near your preferred location. The Child Care Helpline identifies child care providers for all families, including people with non-traditional work schedules and parents of children with special needs. Resources can also be found for financial assistance. To receive a list of child care providers and a follow up from a child care specialist, please complete this Child Care Intake Form.

Child Care Assistance | South Dakota Department of Social Services

The Division of Economic Assistance provides assistance to low income families who need help with child care costs while parents work or attend school, oversight, technical assistance, and support in promoting safe, healthy and caring environments for children through licensing, registration and quality improvement activities. Child Care Assistance applications are processed in Pierre, but can be dropped off at any DSS local office where they will be mailed to the Pierre office. Child Care Information Services Hotline | Child Care Aware®

Operates a national toll-free hotline and website that provides child care information and resources to assist in finding, selecting, and paying for child care and other parenting needs, information and resources to assist child care providers with needs for their business, and website information is available in English and Spanish.

Parenting and Childcare Resources | Early Childhood Connections

Provides ongoing training and technical assistance to adults who are involved in day-to-day care of young children and offers services to support parents, child care providers, teachers and others involved in early care and education of children birth -12 years of age. Services include: Face-to-face and online early childhood education on issues such as child development, age appropriate activities, effective guidance, program management, and CPR/First Aid certification. Resource lending libraries with information on social emotional observations, recommendations and guidance for children using difficult behaviors. Child Care referral for parents looking for licensed and registered child care providers. Host site for the South Dakota Child Safety Seat Program Coordinates the Starting Strong Preschool scholarship program, the Responsive Parenting class, Child Development Associate credentialing and other programs.

Youth Center | Boys & Girls Club of Moody County

Serves as a safe, productive, and engaging place for youth to go after school and all day during the summer on week days. Offers a drop-in facility and enrichment programs for youth Junior Kindergarten - 12th grade. Youth receive a free daily snack and a hot evening meal and participate in programs focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, character, and leadership. During the summer months, free breakfast and lunch is served to any child 18 and younger.​
