The EmBe offers a variety of youth programs including: - Girls on the Run: Girls on the run is an afterschool program for 3rd through 5th grade girls that helps girls understand themselves, value friendships and teamwork and recognize how we can shape the world at large. Our lessons focus on building social, emotional and physical skills in girls while encouraging healthy habits for life. Each season comes to an end with a joyful and fun non-competitive 5K. This culmination gives girls a tangible sense of accomplishment and the confidence to be the author of her story. Taekwondo: Taekwondo is a Korean martial art which strives to teach courtesy, self-control, integrity, perseverance and strong spirit. EmBe's martial arts program is organized to promote discipline, confidence and focus through taekwondo and other styles or martial arts. Taekwondo at Embe is offered beginning at age 4. - Youth Volleyball: EmBe Youth Volleyball program provides kids an opportunity to learn the skills of the game in a recreational, non-competitive, environment. EmBe and Kairos Elite Volleyball Club with Avera Sports have collaborated to bring an even greater volleyball experience to youth! With a shared vision to positively influence the lives of youth through volleyball; area kids will benefit from the knowledge offered by the two organizations, providing a seamless experience that fits each child. - FIRST LEGO League: FIRST LEGO League is a Robotics community focused on empowering and giving a sense of belonging to all youth. Through investigating and solving real-world problems in a fun and exciting competitive environment, youth gain STEM and 21st Century Skills. - Babysitting Classes: Babysitting Camp is designed for youth who want to gain knowledge and experience before entering the world of babysitting. Topics covered include what is expected from infants to school age children, activities to do with children of all ages, basic first aid and safety skills, when to ask for help, questions to ask before you agree to baby sit and experiential learning in EmBe's Childcare Center Camp GOTR (Girls On The Run): Camp GOTR combines everything that makes the Girls on the Run program effective with all the fun of camp! During the 4-day camp, rising 3rd - 5th grade girls will enjoy building friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active, and expressing creativity through arts and crafts and storytelling. Led by qualified Girls on the Run coaches, Camp GOTR provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for all girls, including girls with a disability, to develop self-confidence, have fun with friends, and learn life skills they can use now and as they grow. Girls are invited to participate in Camp GOTR, regardless of whether or not they have participated in Girls on the Run during the school year.

The WPRC seeks to divert or delay those we serve from substance use and other high-risk behaviors to promote choices/behaviors resulting in lifelong mind and body wellness. The WPRC primarily focuses prevention support services to stakeholders in South Dakota's 22 westernmost counties, but often serves an even broader audience. The WPRC's services include providing education, technical assistance, training and other support to prevention service providers, youth, parents, educators, community groups, social service providers, health/wellness agencies, chemical dependency service providers, law enforcement and other community wellness stakeholders. WPRC staff can provide community education and information on a broad range of prevention topics. These topics include: - Individual drugs (alcohol, nicotine, vaping, marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl, etc.) - Trends in drug use - Over the counter drug misuse - The science of chemical dependence (brain and body) - Risky behavior marketing - 988/211 Helpline usage The WPRC maintains a traditional library of books and other media relating to prevention, health and wellness.
