A week long day camp for children ages 8 - 13. Gives kids the opportunity to experience water recreation in a fun and safe learning environment. Program is designed to help build skills of children with little or no experience in water sports, or to reinforce skills in children who are veterans to the water. There will be lifeguards, water safety instructors and staff to ensure the safety of everyone.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a free program that sends age appropriate books every month to all kids from birth to their 5th birthday.

Many children love the fun of attending summer camps, and children with special physical or medical challenges are no exception.Sanford Children's provides camps designed for children with specific challenges or illnesses. All camps take place at barrier-free locations and are staffed with Sanford Children's professionals to ensure children have a safe and fun experience. The 2026 Sanford Children's Summer Camps include Bring it On for children with cancer and pediatric cancer survivors, scheduled for June 21 - 27, 2026; and Spirit Camp for children diagnosed with spina-bifida set for July 12-18, 2026. Both camps will be held at Joy Ranch, eight miles northwest of Watertown, South Dakota.

This includes Baseball, softball, soccer, and tennis facilities, City municipal park and shelters, Lion's club park and shelters, Several neighborhood parks, Sturgis fairgrounds, Barry Stadium, Other surrounding property located by Fort Meade, Bike Path, and Bear Butte Cemetery.

The City of Mobridge operates a park system that includes the following: Legion Memorial Park, West Playpark, East Playpark, City Park, Plaza Park, Wrigley Square, and Riverfront Walking Path. Park amenities vary but include playground equipment, picnic areas, softball diamonds, soccer fields, football fields, tennis court, basketball court, flower garden, outdoor stage area, walking path, and a disc golf course.

Made up of 5 divisions that collectively maintain the City infrastructure, parks, and vehicles: The Street Division maintains paved and gravel roads, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and stormwater systems, sign and signal infrastructure, and snow plowing schedules and maps. Also patches potholes, blades gravel roads, and mows along rural road sections. The Parks Division provides maintenance and improvement for the nine City parks. The Water Division operates the City's water wells and maintains the water distribution system. Ensures the supply of quality drinking water meets or surpasses state and federal guidelines. Provides recreational/leisure services to the Aberdeen Community and surrounding region. This includes 12 city parks (including 3 dog parks), over 20 miles of trails, 2 softball complexes, Fossum Baseball Field Complex, Kuhnert Arboretum, 2 outdoor ice rinks and 1 indoor ice arena. Wylie Park and Storybook Land is one of the primer parks in the region. It includes 2 campgrounds, Miniature golf, go-karts, picnic facilities and bike and skate rentals. At Storybook Land families enjoy a world of imagination inspired by nursery rhymes and featuring the Land of Oz. Also enjoy a ride on the Train, Carousel, Balloon Ride and Roller Coaster. The Recreation Division provides recreational activities year round for all ages including youth ball leagues, youth & adult tennis lessons and leagues, skating lessons, open gyms, recreational skating, cross country ski lessons, and adult basketball and volleyball leagues. Many special events are offered including Family Fun Weekend, Tennis Tournaments, Storybook Land Festival, Winterfest and Holiday Celebration just to name a few. The YAPAtorium Teen Center provides many activities for teens. Other facilities include: Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (ARCC) where programming in the visual arts, dance, music, and theatre occur for all ages. Other areas at the ARCC include the Civic Arena, Civic Theatre, and the ARCC Gallery. The Aberdeen Aquatic Center provides entertainment for the whole family with the lap pool, diving boards, leisure pool with multilevel play structure, 3 waterslides, and the Lazy River. Other activities include swimming lessons, water walking and adult water exercise. The Strode Center and Aberdeen Dome are facilities available for public use and provides a weight room. These facilities can be used for a daily fee, a 10 use punch card, or with a monthly membership. Lee Park Golf Course is an 18 hole public course which provides lessons and leagues. Melgaard Park Disc Golf Course is a 9 hole public course. Aberdeen Senior Center provides many programs and activities for people over 50 years of age

Offering a wide variety of outpatient physical therapy services including: orthopedics, spine care, sports medicine, headaches, TMJ management, dry needling, post-surgical rehab, aquatic therapy, hand therapy, chronic pain, amputee rehab, women's health, pediatric physical therapy, accidents & injuries, kinesiotaping, custom orthotics, and vestibular rehabilitation. Also offers virtual sessions for those who are not able to make it into the clinic.

The Box Elder Chamber of Commerce represents businesses, large and small, and individuals that want to grow their business and be involved in the community. It engages in numerous activities throughout the year such as ribbon cuttings, business mixers, business directory, and more.

Offers an outdoor swimming pool and a park for the community to enjoy. Park facilities include picnic shelters, playground equipment, tennis courts, and a sand volleyball court. The City Pool features a large pool with a double slide and diving board, as well as a wadding pool with zero depth for younger children. Also offers swimming lessons during the summer.
