The Old Courthouse Museum was Minnehaha County's first courthouse, built in 1889 with a 165 foot clock tower. The museum features three floors of history related exhibits, along with a variety of educational programming including historic walking tours, kids activities including summer camps, concerts, and much more.

When a child goes to Royal Family KIDS Camp they receive the attention and encouragement of an adult camp counselor and his/her buddy camper. NeSoDak - Located on a beautiful Glacial Lake, NeSoDak provides a safe place for youth to build relationships, develop new skills and live in a grace-filled community. NeSoDak specializes in summer youth programs, including 1-2-3 camps (two nights) for elementary youth, half-week and week-long camps for middle school through junior high youth, Servant Journey and adventures camps. Klein Ranch - Klein Ranch is a unique camp that offers youth the opportunity to begin to stretch their boundaries, and abilities, as they ride horses on 2,300 acres of Wild West ranch country. Campers can spend a week exploring the prairie on horseback and participating in other activities, such as hiking the mini badlands, having an overnight campout, playing games and more. Through the camp's small group community, youth strengthen their identity and gain depth in their faith. At Klein Ranch, youth also develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and for others as they care for the animals at the camp. Outlaw Ranch - Located amongst granite outcroppings in the southern Black Hills, Outlaw Ranch is open year round, offering summer youth camps, family camp, year round retreats for youth and adults, as well as hosting business gatherings and family reunions. The Boys & Girls Club of Moody County offers a comprehensive Summer Recreation Program for youth ages 5 through 6th grade. One exception is T-Ball, which is available for youth ages 4 through 6. Summer Recreation includes organized recreational leagues and activities led by contracted coaches and instructors, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, football, T-Ball, golf, track and field, art, science, and theatre. Families should note that Summer Recreation registration includes Club access only during the dates and times of the specific Summer Recreation activity or camp. Youth registered for Summer Recreation only are not automatically eligible for full-day Club programming, Monday through Friday care, field trips, pool outings, or additional fee-based activities. A Boys & Girls Club membership is required for youth to attend the Club throughout the summer, Monday through Friday, and to participate in additional field trips, pool outings, and fee-based activities. Club members have access to onsite programs designed to keep youth engaged, learning, and thriving all summer long. Programming includes academic enrichment, STEM activities, arts and crafts, healthy lifestyle activities, character and leadership development, and social-emotional learning opportunities. EmBe aquatics programs teach people of all ages how to be safe in and on the water, including the skills of swimming. EmBe aquatic programs include parent-child classes, preschool classes, youth and adult classes in group or private lessons, Family Swim and Lap Swim, Lifeguard and Water Safety instructor classes, CPR and AED Certification, Recreational Swim League, swimming lessons for infants to adults, Water Fitness classes, and Pool Rental.

The City of Lennox and Parks & Recreation Advisory Board offers a wide variety of recreational programs for youth and adults throughout the summer months. Youth Programs consists of baseball, softball, t-ball (& Tiny Tees), soccer, flag football, pickleball, baton twirling, and an art workshop. Adult Programs consists of pickleball and sand volleyball leagues.

Provides fun activities for school-aged kids during the summer months. These include outdoor activities, swimming, sports, arts, crafts, games, and field trips. Each week has a theme that allows campers to learn more about the world's ecosystems through art, sporting, nature, and character development activities.

The EmBe offers a variety of youth programs including:

• Girls on the Run (3rd - 5th grade girls): An afterschool program that helps girls understand themselves, value friendships and teamwork and recognize how they can shape the world at large. Lessons focus on building social, emotional and physical skills while encouraging healthy habits for life. Each season concludes with a non-competitive 5K run.
• Heart and Sole (6th to 8th grade girls): A physical activity-based positive youth development program that develops life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K run. The program helps establish a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.

Taekwondo (beginning at age 3): A Korean martial art which teaches courtesy, self-control, integrity, perseverance and strong spirit. This program is organized to promote discipline, confidence and focus through taekwondo and other styles of martial arts. Taekwondo at Embe is offered .

• Youth Volleyball (3rd - 6th grade): Providing an opportunity to learn the skills of the game in a recreational, non-competitive, environment. EmBe and Kairos Elite Volleyball Club with Avera Sports collaborate to a provide a seamless experience that fits each child. 10-week leagues are available in the fall and winter. A four-week league is offered in the summer.
• Babysitting Classes (11 - 15 years old): Designed for youth who want to gain knowledge and experience before entering the world of babysitting. Topics covered include what is expected from infants to school age children, activities to do with children of all ages, basic first aid and safety skills, when to ask for help, questions to ask before you agree to baby sit and experiential learning in EmBe's Childcare Center

Camp GOTR (Girls On The Run) (rising 3rd - 5th grade girls): A 4-day camp provides an opportunity for girls to build friendships while enjoying interactive games, physical activity, and creativity through arts and crafts and storytelling. Provides a unique opportunity for all girls, including those with a disability, to develop self-confidence, have fun with friends, and learn life skills. Participation in Girls on the Run during the school year is not a requirement for Camp GOTR..

Offers a variety of classes and camps for children including summer day camps, school vacation camps, afterschool gymnastics, and ninja obstacle course classes.
