Community-based counseling center that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Bereavement services for family members is also available. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Programs and services include a domestic violence shelter, a community crisis line with a toll free number, crisis intervention, and telephone or face-to-face crisis counseling and advocacy. Victim services include: criminal and support services, transportation, emergency financial assistance, referrals and assistance with housing/social services/legal services/other community resources, legal advocacy, and counseling referrals. Topics of discussion include: the dynamics of domestic violence, crisis issues caused by domestic violence, the impact of traumatic experiences on daily living, staying safe, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.The women's support groups are open and may be joined by anyone at any time. No pre-registration is required to attend and groups are offered free of charge.
