A psychiatric hospital offering a wide range of services for geriatric, adult, adolescent, and child patients. This center approaches patient care with a special emphasis on trauma-informed care as well as biological, psychological, and social concerns.
- Inpatient Treatment: Available for patients ages 5 and older. All patients will be psychiatrically assessed and treated by a licensed and board-certified psychiatrist. Additionally, experienced nurses and patient care technicians provide individual specialized attention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Inpatient Services: Specialized services include group and individual therapy, diagnostic testing, psychological evaluations, and family therapy. Recreational therapists provide a healing and therapeutic environment. Chemical Dependency Specialists perform detailed evaluations and treatment planning for patients struggling with addiction. Intensive case management is available to coordinate external services for the hospitalized patient. The hospital's clergy is available upon patient request or a patient's own spiritual leader is welcome to provide comfort.

Please proceed to the Emergency Department first or if emergent treatment is needed, call local law enforcement or 911.

Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center (PRTF) - Huron, serves male youth ages 10-17 that have identified treatment needs, which are beyond community-based services. These issues may include current or pending legal, school, or family issues. To achieve programming that meets the needs of each individual youth, is evidence based, and easily understood, PRTF-Huron's foundation in programming is based on Positive Peer Culture which emphasizes a therapeutic group milieu which focuses on respect for self and others and development of care and concern. The Positive Peer Culture modality assists in meeting the universal growth needs of youth for affiliation, achievement, autonomy and altruism through improvement in social competence and cultivating identified strengths in youth. The goal for youth in the program is to utilize Positive Peer Culture to guide youth into developing healthier mindsets and coping skills for identified treatment need(s). Youth will also be introduced to additional trauma informed practices, which are complimentary and in accord with Positive Peer Culture to meet individualized treatment planning goals. These practices include various identified clinical assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, and individualized assignments. A multidisciplinary treatment team overseen by a Clinical Psychologist and Medical Director works with the youth and family to design a treatment plan that addresses each youth's individual needs and objectives for success.

The goal for youth in the program is to utilize Positive Peer Culture to guide youth into developing healthier mindsets and coping skills for identified treatment need(s). Youth will also be introduced to additional trauma informed practices, which are complimentary and in accord with Positive Peer Culture to meet individualized treatment planning goals. These practices include various identified clinical assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, and individualized assignments. A multidisciplinary treatment team overseen by a Clinical Psychologist and Medical Director works with the youth and family to design a treatment plan that addresses each youth's individual needs and objectives for success.
