A psychiatric hospital offering a wide range of services for geriatric, adult, adolescent, and child patients. This center approaches patient care with a special emphasis on trauma-informed care as well as biological, psychological, and social concerns.

• Inpatient Treatment: Available for patients ages 5 and older. All patients will be psychiatrically assessed and treated by a licensed and board-certified psychiatrist. Additionally, experienced nurses and patient care technicians provide individual specialized attention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Parkston Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) serves female adolescents ages 12-17. The program focuses on helping them develop healthier attitudes, stronger coping skills and positive strategies to address the concerns that led to treatment. Care is guided by the Together Facing the Challenge (TFTC) evidence-based treatment model. It emphasizes relationship-building, skill development, and strength-based approaches.
