The WPRC seeks to divert or delay those we serve from substance use and other high-risk behaviors to promote choices/behaviors resulting in lifelong mind and body wellness. The WPRC primarily focuses prevention support services to stakeholders in South Dakota's 22 westernmost counties, but often serves an even broader audience. The WPRC's services include providing education, technical assistance, training and other support to prevention service providers, youth, parents, educators, community groups, social service providers, health/wellness agencies, chemical dependency service providers, law enforcement and other community wellness stakeholders. Outpatient program services for substance use and mental health (including co-occurring issues). Incorporates Lakota cultural traditional health along with mainstream modalities. These include crisis intervention, individual, family, and couples therapy, outpatient groups for both mental health and substance use issues, community prevention, discharge and aftercare planning, Referrals for involuntary and emergency services, psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, Medication Management, inpatient treatment referrals for substance use and mental health counseling (including co-occurring issues), Integrated Care Case Management, anger management group, art therapy group for youth and adults, and recovery coaching - please call for more information. Also includes a Transitional Living Center for pre-treatment (before treatment) and aftercare services provided 24/7. Co-ed facility.

School-based alcohol and drug prevention and intervention counseling services for students and families. Services include: individual and group sessions, family counseling, drug and alcohol screening, tobacco screening, drug and alcohol assessments, referrals, aftercare (post treatment), and prescription drug lock boxes. Offering tele-mental health services. Must have access to computer with camera and microphone.

The CWOY Support Navigator program is designed to provide support for American Indian youth, adults, and their families in the He Sapa area who struggle with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. CWOY Support Navigators act as mentors, advocates, and resource guides for American Indian youth, adults, and families needing support for their healing and personal growth. Services offered include one-on-one mentorship, advocacy, individualized care planning, outings, activities and workshops, transportation to appointments, collaboration with behavioral health resources, coordination for success in academic programs, communication with family members, connecting participants to peer and community programs in support of healing goals, skill-building, mental health counseling, and therapeutic circles.

Individual, couple and family counseling for issues related to trauma, abuse, relationships, unplanned pregnancy, adoption and parenting. Offers Telehealth counseling services for rural South Dakotans to have access to an outpatient therapist via smart phone, tablet or computer. Call to schedule a session via confidential/secure HIPAA compliant video technology. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - can provide trainings, classes/groups or counseling for employees.
