The Care Center is the hub of many resources at the Center of Hope. Services provided include computers and phone/fax - Guests can use, at no charge, for resume and employment/job searching; and Pastoral Care - Individuals can receive one on one counseling with the pastoral team, including getting connected with the Earn-Your-Way program. Temporary emergency needs such as food, clothing, infant care, prescriptions, travel, lodging, and other miscellaneous services.

Assists with rent assistance for eviction notices, utility assistance for disconnect notices, hotel stays (does not provide a homeless shelter), gasoline or bus pass for stranded motorists or for medical reasons, minor car repairs, assistance after a disaster (i.e. house fire, flood, etc.), and prescription assistance for qualifying medications. The needs of the individual/family will be assessed, and certain documentation may be required (ex. driver's license). After business hours, The Salvation Army of Brookings County works with the Brookings County Sheriff or City Police to help individuals and families in the case of an emergency/immediate need.
