An ambulatory care center with outpatient services. Services include dental care, mental health services, public health nurse, environmental health care, optometry, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy (Prescription Assistance - Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS), podiatry, HIV Clinic, SANE services, and Fitness Center.

Youth and community center. Meals are provided and children have a small library, games, and computer. The center hosts many classes and programs with learning opportunities for everything from Lakota art, music, building rockets, archery, hand games, horse camps, summer camps, and daily living skills. There is a community laundromat and food pantry open to the community.

Mental health services with a holistic approach. Experience in working with children, adults, marital counseling, family sessions, group sessions, Native Americans, and veterans. Offers ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), social groups for children ages 10-12 and 18-21 who are neurodivergent. Experience in depression, anxiety, PTSD, life coaching, etc. Offers services via telehealth. Same day appointments are available for both counseling and psychiatry services.

Horizon Health - Fort Thompson is full-service medical clinic offering the following services - preventative screenings, acute care, chronic care management, well child visits, men's and women's health, immunizations, family planning, lab/x-ray, patient education, care management, DOT exams, after-hours access to care, and Certified Application Counselors for the Health Insurance Marketplace. Offers behavioral health services: medication management, counseling, case management, integrated care, addiction services, and Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT). Walk-in appointments welcome.

Provides shelter to homeless people in tiny homes, with a main house where they may do laundry, cook, eat, and socialize. Also provides emergency food to very low income households, delivering to those without transportation.

Outpatient program services for substance use and mental health (including co-occurring issues). Incorporates Lakota cultural traditional health along with mainstream modalities. These include crisis intervention, individual, family, and couples therapy, outpatient groups for both mental health and substance use issues, community prevention, discharge and aftercare planning, Referrals for involuntary and emergency services, psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, Medication Management, inpatient treatment referrals for substance use and mental health counseling (including co-occurring issues), Integrated Care Case Management, anger management group, art therapy group for youth and adults, and recovery coaching - please call for more information. Suicide Prevention Specialist programming to assist with prevention activities.

This emergency shelter is located in the fenced-in area beside the old jail in Pine Ridge. Individuals who are willing to be sober can stay in the military tents.
