The Great Plains Regional office is responsible for the direction and oversight of Bureau responsibilities and activities in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska. The Office of the Regional Director provides program direction and supervision to 12 Agencies encompassing 16 federally recognized Tribes. Programs includes: tribal government, enrollment, claims, self-determination, housing improvement program, loan guaranty and interest subsidy program, land titles and records office, probate and estate services, real estate services, Indian land consolidation program, Division of Natural Resources, Human services (which includes general assistance, burial assistance, disaster assistance, emergency assistance, adult care assistance, and child assistance), Tribal transportation program, road maintenance, and Division of Environment, Safety, and Cultural Resources Managements.

Provides a brunch meal coupled with projects to teach self-sufficiency.

This emergency shelter is located in the fenced-in area beside the old jail in Pine Ridge. Individuals who are willing to be sober can stay in the military tents.

Horizon Health - Fort Thompson is full-service medical clinic offering the following services - preventative screenings, acute care, chronic care management, well child visits, men's and women's health, immunizations, family planning, lab/x-ray, patient education, care management, DOT exams, after-hours access to care, and Certified Application Counselors for the Health Insurance Marketplace. Offers behavioral health services: medication management, counseling, case management, integrated care, addiction services, and Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT). Walk-in appointments welcome.

Outpatient program services for substance use and mental health (including co-occurring issues). Incorporates Lakota cultural traditional health along with mainstream modalities. These include crisis intervention, individual, family, and couples therapy, outpatient groups for both mental health and substance use issues, community prevention, discharge and aftercare planning, Referrals for involuntary and emergency services, psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, Medication Management, inpatient treatment referrals for substance use and mental health counseling (including co-occurring issues), Integrated Care Case Management, anger management group, art therapy group for youth and adults, and recovery coaching - please call for more information. Offers addiction and mental health services. Licensed professionals provide assessments, outpatient treatment and referrals to specialty care. Crisis assistance, family therapy, support groups and clients are offered resources for cultural/spiritual guidance. Outreach services are provided to the school and corrections.

The daytime program provides the following services: case management for connection with needed resources, access to computers and a phone for housing and job searches, showers, laundry, clothing bank, hot coffee, lunch, and temporary mail address services.

Youth and community center. Meals are provided and children have a small library, games, and computer. The center hosts many classes and programs with learning opportunities for everything from Lakota art, music, building rockets, archery, hand games, horse camps, summer camps, and daily living skills. There is a community laundromat and food pantry open to the community.

Services include dental care, mental health services, public health nurse, environmental health care, optometry, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy (Prescription Assistance - Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS), podiatry, HIV Clinic, SANE services, and Fitness Center.

Services include 45 bed hospital, emergency room, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Surgical, Dental, and Prescription Assistance. Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS.

Services include alcohol and drug evaluations, referrals to inpatient or outpatient facilities, low intensity outpatient treatment, 6 week program, Moral Reconation Therapy, DUI Classes for Standing Rock Tribal Court only, Aftercare, adolescent program, community awareness programs, and Positive Indian Parenting.
