Substance use evaluation, assessment, and treatment is also provided. Walk in assessments and telehealth services are available during normal business hours at the Aberdeen location. Client-centered, cognitive behavioral and energy based counseling for children, teens, adults, and families. For children, play therapy addresses many issues including physical, sexual and emotional abuse, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, recovery from traumatic events, divorce, and foster or adoptive situations. Individual and family counseling for children and teens addresses behavior disorders, family and relationship issues, parenting concerns, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harming behaviors, chronic mental illness, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. Sessions often focus on exploring and shifting core beliefs through resolving past issues. For adults, sessions blend Cognitive Behavioral and Client Centered Therapies with Energy Psychology techniques to understand how their issues may be influenced by past trauma. By identifying dysfunctional core beliefs and resolving the events/emotions that helped create those false beliefs, clients can move forward with more joy, less stress and confidence in their own power to heal. Sessions utilize energy balancing and clearing techniques (Emotional Freedom Technique, Emotional Code/Body Code, Matrix Reimprinting and Vibroaccoustic Therapy) as appropriate to release blocked emotions and energy for clients of all ages. Flexible scheduling allows for sessions to be held in the office or other community settings when possible, and telehealth sessions are available.

Youth & Family Services (YFS) Rapid City Head Start is a federally funded, no-cost, parent-focused education program that serves low-income children, ages 4 weeks-5 years, and their families. Program goals include increasing social skills and school readiness for young children while increasing the self-sufficiency for families. YFS Rapid City Head Start gives priority to families who meet the household income guidelines or have children with disabilities.
