COVID Testing Option: ​Oyate Health Center Urgent Care 3200 Canyon Lake Drive 7:00am - 7:00pm (MT), 7 days a week Christmas Eve closes at 3pm (MT). Closed on Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Oyate Health Center provides primary medical care, outpatient clinic, and urgent care. Additional outpatient services that are provided on site include optometry, pharmacy (Prescription Drug Take Back Site, blue drop-box by pharmacy), laboratory, radiology, dental, physical therapy, podiatry, and social services. Oyate Health Center has 2 sweat lodges. Please call for details. Oyate Health Center provides direct health services to Native Americans and provides contract health care services and referrals to those that are eligible within IHS requirements. This means that if a patient is enrolled in a federally recognized tribe or can prove lineage of descent of an enrolled tribal member; the patient may receive direct care services at Oyate Health Center. Prescription Assistance - Any Native American enrolled in a federally recognized tribe can receive prescription expense assistance at any IHS facility.

K-5 (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) provides care and programming outside of classroom hours in several locations in Sioux Falls, Brandon and Harrisburg. Activities are designed to meet each age level's academic, social and emotional needs. Signature programs offer additional options for character and leadership, health and wellness, sports and recreation and Education/STEM/Arts focus. Scholarships are available for families in need.

Services provided include prescription pick-up (these are delivered from Freeman daily), diabetes education and support, durable medical equipment (i.e. canes and walkers, bathroom equipment, orthopedic supplies, nebulizers, etc.), immunizations, long-term pharmacy, Medicare open enrollment, and a medication disposal site. Accepts UPS drop off packages for free. Customers can use the My Community Pharmacy to refill medications, set medication reminders, and track refill status.

Pharmacy services include immunizations/vaccinations, refill/transfer medications, home medical equipment/supplies, medical alert systems, hygiene and grooming products, and over-the-counter drugs and vitamins. This is also a medication disposal site.

Topics covered include depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), adjustment disorders, bipolar, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), child sexual abuse, domestic violence, marriage issues, spiritual issues, women's issues, church leadership abuse issues, Asperger's, social skills, self-esteem, bullying, and individuals whose spouses have addiction issues.

ICAP Children and Family Services include the following: Half Day Services: Eligible children ages 3 - 5 will receive 3 1/2 hours of center-based preschool, 4 days per week, September - May. (limited locations) EHS Home Based Services: A home visitor meets with eligible women who are pregnant and/or families with children under the age of 3 once per week for 1 1/2 hours (at a regularly scheduled time). Group socialization meetings are held twice per month. Child Development Center: Madison and Sioux Falls (ages 4 weeks - 3 years) can receive early childhood services and childcare each day year-round at ICAP's childcare center.

A 12-week support group for single/unmarried women with unplanned pregnancies. A baby shower is given at the end of each session.

Wednesday Evening Family Night consists of a meal followed by ministry for all ages. Family Night runs in semesters each year (i.e. Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring).

Keeping children safe by providing child safety seats at no cost to families that meet income eligibility requirements to ensure that they are in the best child seat for their height and weight until they are at least 4'9. At 4'9, most children can safely wear a seat belt. Current South Dakota law states that any operator of any passenger vehicle transporting a child under five years of age on the streets and highways of this state shall properly secure the child in a child passenger restraint system, and that the operator of a motor vehicle must make sure that a passenger who is at least five and younger than 18 must be wearing a properly adjusted and fastened safety seat belt system. If the belts don't fit properly, the operator must find another safety belt system to secure the child (SD Law 32-37). This program distributes child seats to income eligible parents and children statewide, by assessing financial need. The communities listed may have local distribution partners. Offers a family-centered approach to care and is committed to providing only the most appropriate services based on regular assessments of your needs. Staff has been trained and tested in the care of dementia patients and are supervised and evaluated regularly by Registered Nurses. Services offered are home health, companionship, homemaking assistance, respite care, pediatrics, home care & support services, medical staffing, and long term care assessments.

Youth & Family Services (YFS) Rapid City Head Start is a federally funded, no-cost, parent-focused education program that serves low-income children, ages 4 weeks-5 years, and their families. Program goals include increasing social skills and school readiness for young children while increasing the self-sufficiency for families. YFS Rapid City Head Start gives priority to families who meet the household income guidelines or have children with disabilities. Income guidelines are established by the federal government each year. All services are free of charge for participants who qualify. Head Start® is a registered trademark of HHS.

A weekly Community Banquet is offered on Thursday night. Open to anyone who wants to come. It is served by the churches, businesses and service groups in the Pierre and surrounding area.

Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Pharmacy services include prescription refills and transfers, Medicare open enrollment, medication synchronization, immunizations, and free prescription delivery. This is also a medication disposal site.

Offers mental health and substance use services as well as both family and individual case management services which include comprehensive child/adolescent/family services, comprehensive adult/family services, adult/adolescent/family substance abuse services, and outpatient psychiatric medical services. ​Walk-in assessments available during regular business hours and emergency mental health crisis support services available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Telehealth services also available.

Sallie's Table (Saturday and Sunday) All are welcome around Sallie's Table at the Salvation Army, a weekend meal serving on 4:45pm - 5:45pm, every Saturday and Sunday evening Free Sunday Breakfast 8:45am - 9:30am Senior Neighbor Luncheon (Monthly) Seniors gather together for a time of fun, food and fellowship (crafts, bingo and table games), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, 3rd Wednesday of each month The Salvation Army provides the entree and each senior brings a dish to pass (either a side dish or dessert). Every month a special program is created for the seniors and birthday's taking place are recognized.

Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.
