A weekly Community Banquet is offered on Thursday night. Open to anyone who wants to come. It is served by the churches, businesses and service groups in the Pierre and surrounding area.

Some of those services include: treatment for eating disorders, substance abuse evaluations, internet addiction evaluation and treatment, therapy for individuals with dual intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health, caregiver counseling, ambiguous loss counseling, as well as trauma services, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Provides the following: individual counseling, substance abuse counseling, psychological assessments, outpatient substance abuse treatment, grief/bereavement counseling, dialectical behavioral therapy, child abuse survivor counseling for adults, family counseling, mental health screening, trauma informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, adolescent/youth counseling, parent counseling, spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, and internet (tele-health) counseling. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Provides logistical and financial support to people who must travel to, from, or within the Midwest to access abortion care. Includes booking, funding, and reimbursing accommodations, childcare, food, and more. ​

Proceeds from the Cornerstone Thrift Store pay for the Cornerstone Women and Children's Home. The Store recycles donated clothing, furniture (including mattresses when available), household goods, and other items by offering them for purchase.

Investigates child abuse and neglect cases by working with the State's Attorney, law enforcement, and community resources to determine extent of alleged child abuse or neglect. Other services include adoptions, licensing of foster homes, assessment services, case management, and intensive family services. Equine Assisted Counseling (EAC) is the combined use of horses, a licensed therapist, and a horse specialist working with clients to address various individual treatment goals. EAC is safe and all activities are done from the ground. No riding is involved.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.

Supplies personal care items and cleaning items on a monthly basis. Many items are available on a scale according to the size of the item and the size of the family.

Family Visitation Center (FVC) is available to parents and their children as a resource for families seeking a wide range of services in the process of custody and visitation litigation. The safety and comfort of the child is of utmost importance. Services include supervised visitation, supervised phone calls, safe exchanges, common sense parenting classes, and responsive parenting classes.

This program serves male and female youth with a primary diagnosis of substance dependency disorder. Treatment philosophy recognizes substance dependency as a chronic and progressive illness that can interfere with a person's growth from childhood to young adulthood. Treatment includes 12-step groups, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Narcotic Anonymous groups within a therapeutic setting. Treatment is completed in approximately 45 to 60 days.
