American's with Disabilities Act: Serves as educators and consultants for contractors, businesses, organizations, and individuals regarding the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its guidelines and requirements. Assistive Daily Living Services: Provides services for people ages 18 and older, with physical disabilities affecting all four limbs, who need assistance with daily living activities. Services include program education and support and personal attendant services. Home Again South Dakota: Provides options for older adults and/or people with disabilities living in nursing homes, hospitals, or long-term care facilities to enable them to successfully return to their homes and communities. Helps individuals identify barriers to living on their own, helps them find a place to live that meets their needs, and helps them find the services and supports they need to continue living independently.

A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Provides a full range of primary healthcare services including physical exams, chronic disease management, acute illness management, physicals, well child exams, children/adolescent/men/women healthcare services, immunizations, telemedicine related to medical and mental health needs, certified laboratory services, All Women Count services, assistance with Marketplace insurance enrollment, and allergy injections. A youth and community center serving the community of Allen. Meals are provided and children have a small library, games, and computer. The center hosts many classes and programs with learning opportunities for everything from Lakota art, music, building rockets, archery, hand games, horse camps, summer camps, and daily living skills. Falls Community Health is a family practice medical clinic and dental clinic with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. The Community Health Center was established in 1979 with its goal being to remove the barriers, primarily financial, that exist and limit the access of lower income individuals or families seeking primary health care services.  ​Services for the general public include family health, lab radiology, well-child care, immunizations, family planning (including birth control, STD screening and treatment), patient education, and dental care. Services for established clinic patients include outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling, psychiatry services, transportation assistance (transporter of last resort), and pharmacy assistance to clients of the Falls Community Health Care Clinic.

Investigates child abuse and neglect cases by working with the State's Attorney, law enforcement, and community resources to determine extent of alleged child abuse or neglect. Other services include adoptions, licensing of foster homes, assessment services, case management, and intensive family services. Family Visitation Center (FVC) is available to parents and their children as a resource for families seeking a wide range of services in the process of custody and visitation litigation. The safety and comfort of the child is of utmost importance. Services include supervised visitation, supervised phone calls, safe exchanges, common sense parenting classes, and responsive parenting classes.

Provides marriage and family counseling, pregnancy counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed counseling, career counseling, domestic violence/spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, child abuse survivor counseling, parent counseling, and telemental health.

The Sioux Falls School District will be providing free breakfasts to any child ages 1-18 from Thursday, May 28, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026.There will be no meals served on Friday, July 3, 2026. Note: All meals must be consumed on site and not taken out for consumption. Sioux Falls School District follows all regulations according to the Summer Food Service Program Guidelines. Partial assistance of one month's payment if applicant meets program qualifications.

Partial assistance with past due bills for water, electric, natural gas and propane usage. Additional utility charges and fees limited to the availability of grant funds.

• Transportation Costs

Assistance with bus passes or gasoline for verifiable medical appointments or new employment.

• Medical

Assistance may include emergency prescription medications, specialty physician services, hospitalizations, and insurance premiums. Services may require prior approval.

• Burial or Cremation

Pennington County residents without resources or family members to assist.

Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.
