Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Community Living Services: Assists individuals in obtaining accessible, affordable housing, transportation, and other community living services. Home Modifications Adaptive Devices: Provides home modifications and adaptive devices, which could include ramps, lift chairs, bathroom modifications, reachers, canes, walkers and more. Telecommunication Adaptive Devices: Provides adapted telecommunication services, which includes an emergency phone dialer. American's with Disabilities Act: Serves as educators and consultants for contractors, businesses, organizations, and individuals regarding the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its guidelines and requirements. Assistive Daily Living Services: Provides services for people ages 18 and older, with physical disabilities affecting all four limbs, who need assistance with daily living activities. Services include program education and support and personal attendant services. Home Again South Dakota: Provides options for older adults and/or people with disabilities living in nursing homes, hospitals, or long-term care facilities to enable them to successfully return to their homes and communities. Helps individuals identify barriers to living on their own, helps them find a place to live that meets their needs, and helps them find the services and supports they need to continue living independently.

Individual therapy for adolescents dealing with trauma or behavior issues. Assessment and therapy for those engaged in addictive behaviors, and also for those who love them. Experienced in serving the Native American community, particularly in the areas of historical trauma and grief.

Pharmacy Services include private consultation, medication therapy management services, home and mail delivery, durable medical equipment, medication synchronization, compounding, over the counter medications, and first aid supplies. Pierre location offers immunizations for Flu, Covid-19, RSV, and Shingles. Customers can download the PocketRx app to set medication/refill reminders, refill prescriptions, manage your family's medications, and communicate with pharmacist.

This office offers the following emergency assistance - Economic Assistance (i.e. Rent, Utility shut-offs disconnects), Medical Assistance, and Burial Assistance.

Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is a supplemental food program that enables eligible households to obtain a more nutritious diet. Eligibility is determined by income, resources, and household size. Lost, stolen, or damaged EBT (SNAP) cards must call customer service to report the loss of your card. You will need to enter the card number. If you do not have the card, stay on the line for a second prompt and press 2. Reporting an EBT card as lost, stolen, or damaged will result in that card being declined.

Locates children that are new born to 5 years of age who are suspected of having developmental delays or mental and/or physical disabilities in order to provide early intervention services. Services include screening children for developmental delays, referring children requiring further evaluation to the appropriate agencies, and providing parents with training, educational materials, and monetary and transportation assistance. This program also hosts parent support group meetings, workshops, and health fairs.

Offers individual, couples and family therapy in both English and Spanish. Services include dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR therapy and counseling for LGBTQ+, child abuse and child abuse survivor counseling for adults, grief and bereavement counseling, terminal illness counseling, and gender identity counseling.

Services provided by this office are a last resort. If eligibility criteria are met, assistance may include burial assistance, medical expense assistance, utility assistance, and rent assistance.

A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Provides income-based sliding fee scale services for anyone of reproductive age (men, women, adolescents) including birth control/contraceptives/vasectomy, annual exams including Pap smears/Breast exams, referrals for higher level care, STI/HIV screening, pregnancy testing/counseling, and sexual health education. Free condoms are available.

ICAP Emergency Services helps with emergency utilities and rent (Rent assistance is NOT available to those residing in Sioux Falls) for income qualified households. Must meet all requirements. Also offers food pantry vouchers to those who qualify (cannot receive SNAP).

Loving School at Sioux Falls Children's Home and Owen School at Black Hills Children's Home serves students ages 4-14, in grades PreK through 8th grade, including children in the Sioux Falls and Black Hills Residential Treatment Program. Specializes in meeting educational needs relating to childhood trauma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, reactive attachment disorder, abuse and neglect, anxiety disorder, aggression, and parent-child challenges. Students receive individual and group therapy at a minimum of 2 hours per month and have access to medical care and psychiatric services, as needed. A student does not need an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to be enrolled in Children's Home Society schools. If a student does have an IEP, the IEP is implemented and managed by Loving School staff or Owen School staff. Each student's treatment team meets quarterly to share progress and monitor treatment goals. Occupational Therapy and Speech/Language services are available as prescribed by an IEP.

Sanford Children's Parenting Services offers a variety of services and resources to get answers to everyday parenting questions. Services are geared toward enhancing the development, health, and safety of children in eastern South Dakota. Provides empowerment to families, caregivers, and people who directly impact the lives of children. Also provides parenting resources through New Baby in Home services, Getting to Know Baby Better resources, and parent navigation to support parents on the parenting journey.

Each conference seeks to serve the gaps in services in the communities they serve. Friends in need may be offered referral to other agencies, advocacy, or direct assistance: which may include utility bill and rent assistance payments, or clothing, food, pharmacy and transportation vouchers to meet basic, immediate and emergency needs.

Services include Walk-in Urgent Visits (for both medical and dental), Schedule and same day appointments, Family Practice and Internal Medicine Primary Care for adults, Dental Care for all ages (including teeth cleanings), Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, On-site lab and X-Rays, On-Site Pharmacy, and After-Hours On-Call Provider 365 days a year. Primary and Pediatric Medical Clinic: Most routine medical services and several specialized fields including: physicals, immunizations, preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and counseling. Well child checkups, vaccinations, general pediatric health care. Mental Health: Offers outpatient counseling and psychiatric services, to both children and adults. Case management is offered to adults and families. Dental Clinic: Provides emergency, preventive, and oral health care. Accepts Medicaid, Private Insurance, Medicare, free of charge for the homeless and on a sliding fee scale for uninsured. One Heart Clinic: Providing primary family care to patients with a focus on patients with a primary language of Spanish. Pharmacy: Convenient, on-site location, CHCBH patients are able to fill most of their medications the same day as appointment.

Committed to helping people who are experiencing emotional, psychological, personal, or family problems to increase hope and fulfill their treatment goals for a better life.

ICAP Housing Services provides the following programs: Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention Programs: aims to help two specific groups - persons who are at great risk of homelessness and those who have become homeless. Services that can be provided include case management, security deposit and rent assistance. These services are aimed at helping participants to retain their housing, therefore avoiding homelessness, or to re-enter appropriate permanent housing as quickly as possible. Housing Repair / Rehabilitation: Provides a zero-interest, five-year decreasing balance loan for eligible homeowners to be used for accessibility modifications for persons with disabilities, in addition to making necessary repairs for health, safety and code compliance. Self-Help Housing Rehabilitation: Eligible participants will work with program staff to identify their specific needs and to create a work plan. The Program Coordinator will find the best funding sources available to the homeowners and assist them throughout the process. Weatherization and Furnace Replacement Program: Aimed at making housing for low-income persons more energy-efficient and less costly for the residents. The residence is audited and a list of needs is developed. The program provides the materials and pays contractors for the labor to weatherize the home (caulk cracks, insulate, weather-strip, fix windows, etc.). Furnaces can be repaired or replaced, if not repairable, through the program. In addition, some inefficient/high-cost non-operating appliances (range / refrigerator / water heater) can also be replaced in certain circumstances. Homeless Rent and Deposit: Helping homeless households get into housing. Must provide steady and reliable source of income. Applicant must agree to case management services.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.
