A 24-hour residential and psychiatric treatment center serving emotionally disturbed and learning disabled children between the ages of 4-14. This program also provides special education services and intensive therapy for children and families who are experiencing difficulty at home, in school, or in the community. Services include day school and residential programs, evaluation services, family supportive services, consultation and training services. Madsen House is designed to provide comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis and assessments, as well as short-term treatment for children ages 4-14 with emotional and behavioral problems. Madsen House Intensive Unit is an eight-bed unit for children ages 4-14 who have severe or chronic emotional and behavioral disorders. Treatment includes psychiatric care, adaptive management, individual, group and family therapy and academic programming. Childcare teams consist of three counselors and one team coordinator, creating a ratio of one staff for every two children.

Also offering telehealth services.

Provides play therapy for children with behavior challenges, counseling for women looking for balance and happiness in life and consultation for child care programs to improve the quality of their programs and promote positive behaviors of the children in their care. Telehealth available. First session takes place in person. Following sessions would be moved to telehealth.

CHOICES Residential Services program serves adolescents and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral/emotional or psychiatric disorders. Components of the program include residential services, independent living training, educational services, and therapeutic and psychiatric services (individual and group therapy).

The Sioux Falls School District will be providing free breakfasts to any child ages 1-18 from Thursday, May 28, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026.There will be no meals served on Friday, July 3, 2026. Note: All meals must be consumed on site and not taken out for consumption. Sioux Falls School District follows all regulations according to the Summer Food Service Program Guidelines. Bone Marrow Transplant Support Group - For individuals that have gone through or may be undergoing a transplant. Cancer Caregiver Support Program - Open to all caregivers who care for loved one with any type of cancer diagnosis. Cooperative Parenting and Divorce - Parents can learn the skills necessary to minimize difficulties for their children as their roles change from spouses to co-parents. The group is for divorcing parents who have children. Cost is $130.00 for 8 week course or (2) 4 week courses; includes the cost of workbook. Diabetes Support Group - Covers topics and support related to diabetes. Open to the patient and their family/significant other Infant Loss Support Group - 6 week series support group for families who are grieving the death of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. Childbirth (in person or online class), caring for a newborn, breastfeeding, multiple blessings classes Weight Loss Support Group - For people who have had any weight loss procedure or are considering one (both online and in person)

This is a tenant-based voucher program for persons or families who are homeless and have struggled with chronic homelessness and suffer from severe and persistent mental health issues. It allows qualified individuals/families to receive rental assistance in the unit of their choice as long as it meets HUD's Housing Quality Standards. The assistance travels with the tenant and can be transferred anywhere within the city limits of Sioux Falls. The client must agree to participate in case management.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

South Dakota court approved treatment provider and provides court approved alcohol and drug assessments/evaluations and screenings including Individual 1st Offender DUI Education, Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) and Aftercare. Offering Employee Assistance Program (EAP); Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT); Behavior Modification; Clinical Supervision; Reunification Therapy; Psychological Evaluations/Screenings; Parenting Coordination, Play Therapy, Moral Reconation Therapy, Substance Use Prevention, Assessments for Substance Use Disorders, Psychological Assessments, Fit for Duty Evaluations and First Responder Counseling. Virtual and in-office sessions available.

If eligible, temporary emergency financial assistance is available for children's needs of up to $1,500. All other avenues must be exhausted before applying for assistance.

Providing clinical health services for all ages, including Medications for Opioid Use Disorder, senior care, maternity, pediatric, men's health, LGBTQ+ care, vaccinations, lab services, and telehealth visits. A Community Health Worker is also available to help coordinate services.

Offers free food to anyone 18 years of age or older. There is no restriction on who can come, or how many times you can come. A pre-packaged box of food in a drive thru style giveaway. Guests will stay in their vehicles and will follow a predetermined route via the north entrance of the fairgrounds off of Madison Street. Pet food also now available, supply is limited. Food (boxed) or pet food delivery available for those who cannot otherwise get to the giveaway on a limited basis. This emergency shelter is located in the fenced-in area beside the old jail in Pine Ridge. Individuals who are willing to be sober can stay in the military tents.
