Providing free breakfast for children 18 years old or younger. Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota will fund breakfast at no charge for seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren. Breakfast includes a grain, fruit and milk. All sites will be closed Wednesday, July 1 - Friday, July 3rd 2026. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Support group for women who have witnessed or experienced violence in a relationship. These groups seek to provide support and feedback to women who have been emotionally, sexually, or physically abused in their relationships. Topics of discussion include: the dynamics of domestic violence, crisis issues caused by domestic violence, the impact of traumatic experiences on daily living, staying safe, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.The women's support groups are open and may be joined by anyone at any time. No pre-registration is required to attend and groups are offered free of charge.

Monument Health Spearfish Hospital offers extensive patient services centralized at one location which includes both the hospital and Spearfish Monument Medical Clinic. Services include emergency care: 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, diabetes care, heart & vascular care, home care, hospice, labor & delivery, laboratory services, medical imaging, OB/GYN, physical therapy & rehabilitation, prenatal care, surgery, swing-bed program, telemedicine, and serves as a medication disposal site.

Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Focuses on narrowing the achievement gap in the community through one simple strategy: Ensuring that every child gets a chance to attend preschool. Through preschool partnerships, generous financial supporters, and the United Way, the coalition seeks to connect all children to existing high quality preschool programs regardless of their family's ability to pay private tuition. Please note - this program doesn't pay balances due to daycare providers. It is a subsidy for the services going forward

A youth organization that provides a safe place for kids to go after school and during the summer on week days. Members participate in a variety of activities such as homework help/tutoring, organized sports programs, Youth for Unity, Teen Center, and guided activities on character and leadership, education and career skills, and healthy living/active lifestyles. Snacks are provided.

A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Individual, couples, or family therapy for the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors focusing on issues including, but are not limited to anxiety, mood, personality disorders, somatization disorders, psychosexual disorders, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), abuse issues, eating disorders, dementia, grief and loss, childhood emotional and behavioral disorders, spirituality, stress management, and executive health. Evaluations available include psychiatric, psychological, neuropsychological, forensic, and custody.

Partners with Main Gate Counseling to provide care for clients to help them in their recovery. Offers peer and youth support for those suffering from a loved one's addiction or children that need counseling.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

Connects people to safe and confidential services related to preventing pregnancy, achieving pregnancy, and assisting to achieve the desired number of children. Also offers STI screening, pregnancy testing, birth control options, and resources to maintain a healthy reproductive system.

Provides marriage and family counseling, pregnancy counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed counseling, career counseling, domestic violence/spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, child abuse survivor counseling, parent counseling, and telemental health.

Community-based counseling center that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Bereavement services for family members is also available. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, couples, and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services.

6 week, 12-hour program of instruction, videos, and role play that helps parents develop and practice skills to: give clear message to their children, effectively use praise; change behavior through the use of consequences; prevent and correct negative behaviors; and help children learn self-control techniques.

Services are available for boys and girls, ages 4-14 years old, who exhibit emotional disorders and/or behavioral problems. The average length of diagnostic assessment period is thirty days. The average length of stay for residential treatment is twelve to fourteen months. The Special Education School Program specializes in the education and treatment of children with emotional and behavioral disorders. Initial assessment includes psychiatric evaluation, physical exam, nursing assessment, educational testing, family/social assessment, trauma assessment, and speech/language screening.

Goes to child centers and screens children (age 2 - 7 primarily) for speech and language development. If children do not pass the screening, recommendations are made for appropriate action. Only those children whose guardians sign them up are screened.

After-school care for boys and girls ages 10 - 18 meeting intensive outpatient guidelines for addiction recovery treatment. Services offered include drug and alcohol treatment needs assessment, intensive outpatient group program, Continued Care group program, Individual therapy, and the Learning Above and Beyond (LAB) afterschool prevention based program. ​Telehealth options available.
