By matching adult volunteers with a young youth in the community, one-on-one relationships between the Big Friend and Little Friend, enriches the lives of the young person and their family.  Accomplished through strengthening communication, life skill and team building, strengthening the entire family using community resources, hope and inspiration, and relationships with caring adult mentors. Students are referred to the program by the Yankton School District.
