ICAP Children and Family Services include the following: Half Day Services: Eligible children ages 3 - 5 will receive 3 1/2 hours of center-based preschool, 4 days per week, September - May. (limited locations) EHS Home Based Services: A home visitor meets with eligible women who are pregnant and/or families with children under the age of 3 once per week for 1 1/2 hours (at a regularly scheduled time). Group socialization meetings are held twice per month. Child Development Center: Madison and Sioux Falls (ages 4 weeks - 3 years) can receive early childhood services and childcare each day year-round at ICAP's childcare center.

This emergency shelter is located in the fenced-in area beside the old jail in Pine Ridge. Individuals who are willing to be sober can stay in the military tents.

Provides assistance in the education of children who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) offering support and consultative services to homes, daycares, and schools. Children in South Dakota who have been professionally identified as DHH may be eligible for services. These services include: information on hearing level, assistive technology, language development, and communication opportunities; participation in the development of an individualized Family Service Plan; communication choice support of sign language skills/or training to facilitate listening and spoken language; demonstration of the use of hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM/DM systems, or other forms of listening technology; collaboration with other service providers; and social opportunities and networking for the Deaf community, as well as connecting families raising children who are DHH.

Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Pharmacy services include telehealth, vaccinations, vitamins and supplements, over-the-counter drugs, free hearing tests, pet medications, and prescription pick up/refill order. Also sells home medical equipment such as transfer devices, walking aids, wheelchairs, incontinence care, diabetes care, and first aid products.

Holy Innocents Ministry offers diapers, wipes, and formula vouchers to qualified families at no charge. Program may be utilized once every 60 days.

Pharmacy Services include private consultation, medication therapy management services, home and mail delivery, durable medical equipment, medication synchronization, compounding, over the counter medications, and first aid supplies. Pierre location offers immunizations for Flu, Covid-19, RSV, and Shingles. Customers can download the PocketRx app to set medication/refill reminders, refill prescriptions, manage your family's medications, and communicate with pharmacist.

 Outpatient counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Covering topics such as abuse and/or sexual abuse, anger management, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), depression, emotion and behavior regulation for children, grief and loss, life transition and adjustment issues, marriage and family issues, post traumatic stress (PTSD), relational violence/abuse, self-esteem, stress management, suicide intervention/crisis stabilization, teen problems, wellness counseling, and women's issues. Offers telehealth services. Family Pathways (Family Outreach Services) counselors providing intensive counseling and support services for children in community locations such as home or school. Psychiatric Services include assessments and medication management. CARE - Continuous Assistance, Rehabilitation, and Education services for adults with severe mental illness.

Outpatient behavioral health services for all ages. Counseling and psychiatric medication management. All disorders are treated and providers are trained in numerous evidence based treatment methods.

A non-profit relief organization that is supported by churches, organizations, local businesses, and individuals. Provides the following services - 24/7 helpline answered by trained advocates, free pregnancy tests and follow-up support, ultrasound and confirmation of pregnancy, diapers, wipes, and other items provided within Earn While You Learn program (until child turns 3), fatherhood program (until child turns 3), referrals to community resources; medical, financial, housing, and adoption, parenting classes - open to anyone pregnant, or with infants or toddlers up to age 3, post abortion support, sexual integrity and abstinence education, and volunteer opportunities at events.

Based on eligibility guidelines, office provides Indigent Medical Expenses, Indigent Burial Expenses, and General poor relief Applicant is required by law to repay the county for assistance given, per SDCL 28-14. County is payer of last resort.

Horizon Health - Huron is full-service medical clinic offering the following services - preventative screenings, acute care, chronic care management, well child visits, men's and women's health, immunizations, family planning, lab/x-ray, prenatal care, patient education, care management, DOT exams, immigration physicals, after-hours access to care, and Certified Application Counselors for the Health Insurance Marketplace. Horizon Health - Huron also offers behavioral health services: medication management, counseling, case management, integrated care, addiction services, and Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT). Spanish and Karen translators available on-site.

A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Individuals, couples, and family counseling for children, adolescent, and adults. Counseling to help those who suffer from depression, anxiety, self-harm, post traumatic stress (PTSD), trauma, suicidal thoughts, grief and loss, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other issues. Provides assisted animal therapy, play therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Works closely with the LGBTQI population. Also offering services via telehealth.

Offers prescription delivery and pickup, immunization shots, and walk-in and virtual care options. Also offers Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screening and treatment, chronic disease self management program, birth control and family planning, and smoking cessation. Rapid City and Sioux Falls - S. Louise Avenue location are a medication disposal site.

The Great Plains Regional office is responsible for the direction and oversight of Bureau responsibilities and activities in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska. The Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center is accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, Inc. (JCAHO) serving Native American people living in or near Roberts County. Services include Behavioral Health, Dental, Diabetes Care, Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, Laboratory, Nursing, Radiology, Optometry, Pharmacy (Prescription Assistance - Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS), Primary Care, Public Health Nursing, Physical Therapy, Specialty Clinic (OB/GYN), Weight Loss/Nutrition, Well Child Care, Men/Women's Health, and Medication Disposal.

Provides a full range of primary healthcare services including physical exams, chronic disease management, acute illness management, physicals, well child exams, children/adolescent/men/women healthcare services, immunizations, telemedicine related to medical and mental health needs, certified laboratory services, All Women Count services, assistance with Marketplace insurance enrollment, and allergy injections. Some sites provide Department of Transportation physicals. Nurse triage available for after-hours calls. Situation will be assessed by a registered nurse with further guidance provided. A 24-hour residential and psychiatric treatment center serving emotionally disturbed and learning disabled children between the ages of 4-14. This program also provides special education services and intensive therapy for children and families who are experiencing difficulty at home, in school, or in the community. Services include day school and residential programs, evaluation services, family supportive services, consultation and training services. Madsen House is designed to provide comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis and assessments, as well as short-term treatment for children ages 4-14 with emotional and behavioral problems. Madsen House Intensive Unit is an eight-bed unit for children ages 4-14 who have severe or chronic emotional and behavioral disorders. Treatment includes psychiatric care, adaptive management, individual, group and family therapy and academic programming. Childcare teams consist of three counselors and one team coordinator, creating a ratio of one staff for every two children.
