Food Pantry services for those living in the Northern Turner County communities. There is a bread giveaway every third Tuesday of the month held in the Turner County Courthouse basement (see hours of operation for times).
Guests can choose from a selection of items. This is an emergency pantry that families can utilize once per month. Guests will be asked to provide some form of ID for tracking purposes.

Collects and distributes dysphagia supplies to individuals in need, establish a dysphagia awareness advocacy program, provide education services relating to appropriate prescription and use of dysphagia supplies, and assist in establishing a network of interconnected dysphagia support groups across the country. The food pantry provides modified foods for individuals with dysphagia, such as: thickened foods and liquids, oral care supplies, and assistive equipment. The food pantry is available to all 50 states. Income qualifications apply.

Providing food to meet basic nutritional needs. Assistance is available once per month.
Financial Assistance: - Utility assistance (gas, electric or water) that is at least 30 days past due and has a shut off notice (cannot do current bills). Call for qualifications and appointment time. Non-Financial Assistance Programs: - There are two options for those needing food assistance: - The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) provided by USDA through the State of South Dakota. Requires individuals to fall within income eligible guidelines as well as complete a TEFAP Self Declaration form. Can receive TEFAP food only consisting of protein along with nutritional staple(s). - Salvation Army's Food Program: Receive TEFAP and other food consisting of protein, canned goods, and nutritional staples. Picture ID, proof of residence, and completed forms required. - Clothing Vouchers: For those needing assistance for clothing. Assistance may only be given 1 time for every 3 months with photo ID. Verification for any additional individuals needing clothing is required (medical cards, birth certificates, etc.) - Household Vouchers: For those needing assistance with items used to cook and eat a meal or other household goods (bed linens, towels, etc). Available to households 1 time every 3 years with a photo ID and current lease or rental agreement. - Assistance is limited according to what is available at the time. Pathway of Hope: - Program for eligible families. Long term case management program to help families move beyond crisis into stability and becoming self-sufficient. Families will be required to meet with a caseworker to design a plan to meet goals, needs and objectives (ex. goal setting, financial counseling, assistance getting healthcare, educational opportunities, etc).

Assists with: - Groceries and food pantry - Funds for birth certificates and picture ID's for the purpose of obtaining employment, housing, or school - only for Pennington County and must have some sort of proof of identification (Tribal ID, piece of mail with address, library card, etc.) Church Response does NOT help with rent expense assistance.

Serving as stewards of St. Katharine Drexel's mission as she served those in need. Offers: - 1 bag of groceries that contain 8-10 non-perishable items - 1 bag that contains 20 diapers and a package of wipes. - ​Only diapers sizes 1-5 are available. Each person receives one bag per visit.​ The program is limited, as it is donation based and services are not guaranteed. Individuals can visit once a week.
Provides scholarship opportunities to assist children currently in the foster care system with the ability to participate in sports, activities, or cultural events. The criteria to apply for the scholarships are as follows: the child must be in long-term foster care, the child or family must approach the merchant and ask for a reduction in the cost of the activity, and no other state or local program availability to assist with the costs. Also provides bedroom furniture and food assistance to enable foster families to take in sibling groups or older or younger children.

Food pantry for Perkins County. Located in Bison, South Dakota.
Services at the Love Feast of Mitchell include: Meal Program: Meal handout twice a month. Deliveries available. Backpack Program: Kids get a backpack of school supplies. Application Form is required. Shoe voucher to Head Start through K-8th grade before school starts. Distribution is held at Downtown First United Methodist Church basement.

Each conference seeks to serve the gaps in services in the communities they serve. Friends in need may be offered referral to other agencies, advocacy, or direct assistance: which may include utility bill and rent assistance payments, or clothing, food, and pharmacy to meet basic, immediate needs.

A one-time a month food pantry, managed by The Treasure Hut and supported by St. Anthony's Parish.
Free little pantry - located in front of the church, on the lawn. Accessible 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Monthly meal on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm, free and open to the public.

Helping people identify long term situations that lead to assistance requests and to walk along side them as they bridge out of those situations. Provides assistance for those in the Whitewood area only (cannot assist individuals from Spearfish or other areas).  Services provided might include utility payments on a case by case basis, clothing, food, gas, financial education, training and education assistance, and micro-loans (0% interest) for rent deposit; amount must be repaid.
