The St. John Lutheran Community Clothing Room holds an annual winter coat giveaway. Coats for everyone will be available.
For those wishing to request a coat or winter clothing, contact the following agencies for a voucher: The Banquet: 605-335-7066 Bishop Dudley Hospitality House: 605-809-8424 Union Gospel Mission: 605-334-6732 This is a season-long event. As people sign up, coats are distributed as they become available. This is a partnership between KELOLAND Media Group, Sioux Falls Lewis Drugs Stores, Montgomery's Furniture, St. Francis House and local non-profits. To donate coats, please drop them off at Sioux Falls Lewis Stores October 1 - November 27, 2024, or drop them off at the St. Francis House.

If an income-eligible person or family cannot afford to purchase the clothing, the Community Service Worker in that county can provide a voucher that allows the person or family to get the clothing at no charge.

All of the merchandise comes from donations from the surrounding communities, with all of the profits from sales going back to NHTC. This agency operates the following programs: Air Conditioners - Must be income eligible (125%), be signed up at the agency and have a medical statement stating they need an AC. Also cannot have received one in the last 3 years. Distribution is primarily in June of each year. Please call for an appointment. Medical Equipment Lending - Available for those in need of bathtub seats, shower and tub rails. Thrift Store - Low cost items with proceeds going to fund free food and special projects. 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
