Serves individuals and families in need with Food Pantry, Crisis Fund (1 time / year) depending on availability of funds - Rent (can include rent or deposit); Utility assistance including: deposit, past due bill, and disconnect notices for trash, water, lights, and heating; and help with budgeting/financial planning. Backpack School program - weekend food for Beresford School students. Faith in Action also networks clients with other organizations/ resources that may help them with their situation.

A free, relationship enrichment program open to the public. It serves individuals, couples, and families. The goal of the program is for participating adults to develop the skills they need to experience healthy relationships and improve their path toward financial wellness and employability. ​Relationship education and family support topics include: communication skill, controlling emotions, conflict resolution, making wise choices, setting life goals, mentorship, stress management, advocacy, and parenting strategies. ​Financial wellness/employability services include: financial literacy, job search assistance, money management, joint budgeting, interview practice, resume coaching, and job skills and interest assessments.

Coordinating community members needs with available assistance from local churches. Programs include food pantries, diapers, personal care items, and life skills classes. Some services require participation in programming.

Financial assistance is provided to households who are willing to go through financial education and learn to be accountable for their spending and saving. Services include supportive housing for adults, rapid re-housing for families, homeless prevention for families, rental assistance, utility assistance, financial advising and education, food box program, clothing closet for adult and children, representative payee services for individuals on SSI/SSDI, and street outreach.

Individual, couples, marriage, family, group counseling, and workshops focusing on areas such as co-dependency, trauma, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse trauma, mild traumatic brain injury, relationship issues, boundaries, and financial therapy/coaching. Provides adequate, healthy, and affordable housing according to safety living standard and to create a suitable living environment to meet the needs of elderly, families, and individuals of SWO. Programs include: Homebuyers Program - Provides down payment financial assistance to enrolled Sisseton-Wahpeton Tribal members who are seeking to purchase a primary home. Housing Authority - Provides decent, safe and sanitary housing for all Tribal members seeking to eradicate substandard housing and eliminate homelessness through provision of supportive services and financial assistance programs.

Programs and Services: First Time Homebuyer Education (Attendees may be eligible to receive discounts on closing costs.) Adult/Youth Financial Literacy and Debt Management (We teach tenants how to evaluate their current financial condition, budget their expenses, and set financial goals so they are able to pay their monthly rent on time.) Credit Review Services (We assist clients establish credit and improve credit scores.) Rental Education (Clients learn about tenant-landlord relationships, financial planning, credit restore & rescore.) Classes are offered by appointment either as an individual or in a group session (virtual, in person, or online course).
