First Connection: For those who have recently diagnosed with cancer, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has provided the opportunity to speak with someone who's been through treatment and learned how to manage the same disease. The Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program is a peer-to-peer program that matches newly diagnosed patients and their families with trained volunteers who have been touched firsthand by a blood cancer and shared similar experiences. Online Chats: Live, weekly online chats provide a friendly forum to share experiences and chat with others about anything from the initial phase of diagnosis to treatment and survivorship. Each chat is moderated by an oncology social worker and is password-protected. The online chats are not a replacement for psychotherapy or support groups. Patient Financial Assistance Programs (visit website for more information): Programs may cover copays, other medical expenses, urgent need for non-medical expenses, treatment-related travel expenses, clinical trial related-travel expenses and general financial support. COVID Testing Option: ​Oyate Health Center Urgent Care 3200 Canyon Lake Drive 7:00am - 7:00pm (MT), 7 days a week Christmas Eve closes at 3pm (MT). Closed on Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Oyate Health Center provides primary medical care, outpatient clinic, and urgent care. Oyate Health Center provides direct health services to Native Americans and provides contract health care services and referrals to those that are eligible within IHS requirements. This means that if a patient is enrolled in a federally recognized tribe or can prove lineage of descent of an enrolled tribal member; the patient may receive direct care services at Oyate Health Center. Prescription Assistance - Any Native American enrolled in a federally recognized tribe can receive prescription expense assistance at any IHS facility.

The Auditor is the keeper of County records and acts as a bookkeeper of County business. The Auditor is responsible for County Commissioner meetings including scheduling, agenda, business follow-up, Preparing the County's budget, Audit bills or other claims against the County and prepare the warrants in payment of these bills, Figuring the mil levy, and Head election officer of the County. Provides the following financial assistance: Economic Assistance: Provides emergency assistance to those in need. The amount of assistance granted is established in the County Guidelines and the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines. Economic assistance is not an on-going program, but is designed to address the immediate need. For all assistance granted, state statute requires that a lien is placed against the individual. Due to the attachment of a lien, the individual is encouraged to exhaust all other resources prior to making application with the county. The county will assist in making appropriate referrals and can act as an advocate on the individual's behalf. Types of assistance include: utility assistance (disconnect notice required), emergency transportation (gas voucher or but ticket), emergency shelter (one night hotel stay), and rent assistance (does not help with first months rent or rental deposit). Rent assistance is only for those individuals who have received a sheriff served 3-day eviction notice. Having the notice is required. Also, resident must have live in Davison County for at least 60 days. Medical Assistance: The county is a resource of last resort and requires that all other resources be exhausted first. Medical assistance is determined by a formula established in state statute. The individual's availability and affordability of health care coverage will be one determining factor of eligibility. All medical services must meet the criteria of medical necessity set by state statue. The county works directly with medical providers and past and current employers in assessing eligibility. The county must approve non-emergency medical procedures prior to the services being performed. The county investigates any potential third-party payee. If the county approves financial assistance, a repayment plan will be established. Types of assistance provided: medication assistance and hospital bill assistance. Funeral Assistance: Davison County Welfare provides financial assistance for funeral services and burials for qualified individuals.
