GROW South Dakota provides emergency assistance to help individuals/families pay for utilities, or other emergency needs. Assistance is limited to those in the service area who have not received funds within the last year. Income and program guides may apply. Availability of funding is limited; funds may not always be available.

Collects and distributes dysphagia supplies to individuals in need, establish a dysphagia awareness advocacy program, provide education services relating to appropriate prescription and use of dysphagia supplies, and conducting research to improve the equitable distribution of dysphagia supplies to people in need and improve the autonomy of people with feeding and swallowing disorders. ​The Dysphagia Food Bank provides tangible assistance to low income individuals with dysphagia across the lifespan by providing access to thickeners, pre-modified foods, therapy tools, oral care supplies, and adaptive equipment. The food bank is available to all 50 states. Income qualifications apply.

Provide assistance for individuals applying to receive Medicaid to meet the financial cost of Long-Term Care (LTC) services.

Provides money to purchase basic, non-traditional, or community services that may not be available due to cost or other factors. This program directly meets the needs of families who find themselves facing unpredicted financial hardship. These funds are accessed on a last-resort status when all other resources have been exhausted. The program currently serves clients of CASSP member organizations including Northeastern Mental Health Center, Avera St. Luke's Peds Therapies, Transition Services Liaison Project, South Dakota Department of Health, Department of Social Services Economic Assistance, Court Services, Avera Addiction Services (formerly: Worthmore), Safe Harbor, Aberdeen School District, Sanford Children's CHILD Services, SDSU Extension, Aberdeen Housing Authority, SD Parent Connection, Head Start, and Salvation Army.
