Birthparent Counseling Program provides options counseling to assist birth parents who are in an unintended/crisis pregnancy in reaching decisions regarding their futures and the future of the child. Services to birth parents are free of charge. Services are available anywhere in South Dakota, LSS can travel to meet with birth parents. ​Parenting and adoption options are explored: If parenting is the decision, the counselor will assist in setting up community resources. If adoption is the decision, the birth parent can choose from adoptive parent profiles, including pictures and information about the family. The birthparent also can choose what degree of openness they want in the adoption plan. LSS does provide both open and closed/confidential adoption. The purpose of this program is to assist birthparents in reaching a permanent plan for themselves and their child. Adoption Program provides options for those desiring to pursue having a family, including Infant Domestic Program and International Adoption Program. Training and Home Study Services are provided prior to placement of a child.

Offers a full range of psychological services including therapy, psychological assessments and evaluation for children, adolescents, couples, and families such as: life changes and transitions, anxiety and depression, trauma and abuse, anger and conflict, grief and loss, marital affairs, self-image and self-worth, loneliness and isolation, impact of addiction, issues related to substance abuse, behavioral therapy, chronic pain and illness, identity/gender/sexual concerns, rape or sexual abuse, medical or spiritual issues, medical conditions, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). ​Does not offer autism evaluations. Telemental health services available to individuals in South Dakota.

Includes: options counseling, evidence-based decision making, adoption planning, adoption parent selection, parenting preparedness program & courses, before & after birth support, mental health counseling, Medicaid & WIC applications, transportation assistance, case management, job application & resume writing, help with difficult family or partner communication, community & state resource connection, and referrals related to housing, substance use, and domestic violence.

For anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy, All About U provides crisis pregnancy counseling, help finding emotional support, help finding necessary resources, emotion support throughout adoption and beyond, if adoption is chosen, emergency transitional housing available, and general case management for resources: connection to prenatal care, housing, food, clothing, addiction, and more. For adoptive families, All About U provides training to help them through the adoption process and prepare them to be an adoptive family, home studies, and on-going support for adoptive families.
