The EmBe offers a variety of youth programs including: - Girls on the Run (3rd - 5th grade girls): An afterschool program that helps girls understand themselves, value friendships and teamwork and recognize how they can shape the world at large. Lessons focus on building social, emotional and physical skills while encouraging healthy habits for life. Each season concludes with a non-competitive 5K run. - Heart and Sole (6th to 8th grade girls): A physical activity-based positive youth development program that develops life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. Topics covered include what is expected from infants to school age children, activities to do with children of all ages, basic first aid and safety skills, when to ask for help, questions to ask before you agree to baby sit and experiential learning in EmBe's Childcare Center Camp GOTR (Girls On The Run) (rising 3rd - 5th grade girls): A 4-day camp provides an opportunity for girls to build friendships while enjoying interactive games, physical activity, and creativity through arts and crafts and storytelling. Provides a unique opportunity for all girls, including those with a disability, to develop self-confidence, have fun with friends, and learn life skills. The 2026 Sanford Children's Summer Camps include Bring it On for children with cancer and pediatric cancer survivors, scheduled for June 21 - 27, 2026; and Spirit Camp for children diagnosed with spina-bifida set for July 12-18, 2026.
