NAMI Homefront provides a free online suite of mental health resources for caregivers, family members, military service members and veterans. These resources are meant to educate and empower the military community in their journey towards mental health recovery and overall well-being.

SHIFT Garage repairs vehicles for those in need, services include; Repairs older model cars for low-income families and/or single parent homes for whom a full repair bill from a conventional garage is not affordable Budgeting classes to the public Free oil changes for the spouses of deployed soldiers Costs of parts plus a refundable $50.00 fee are due at time of service. The fee will be refunded when clients attend the budgeting class. Please note: Repairs are limited to mechanical issues. Tires are not serviced, transmissions and internal engine issues are not serviced.

Community-based counseling center that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Bereavement services for family members is also available. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, couples, and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services.

The Extended Care and Rehab Service Line includes the following services: Caregiver support group, spinal cord injury / disorder program, full suite of therapies, chiropractic care, integrative health services, adaptive sports, low vision and visually impaired services, inpatient community living center, pain management, whole health services, community living center, hospice/palliative Care, polytrauma/traumatic brain injury (TBI), geriatrics & extended care (GEC), medical foster home, and home health care.

Part of the US Department of Veterans Affairs but separate from the VA Medical Centers, with separate and confidential medical records. Offering individual, group, and couples counseling both in Rapid City and at a number of Community Access Points in the Black Hills. The Objective Zero App connects service members, veterans, their families, and caregivers to peer and civilian support through voice, video and text and to mental health and wellness tools and resources. The app is free to download and free to use.
