ICAP Children and Family Services include the following: Half Day Services: Eligible children ages 3 - 5 will receive 3 1/2 hours of center-based preschool, 4 days per week, September - May. (limited locations) EHS Home Based Services: A home visitor meets with eligible women who are pregnant and/or families with children under the age of 3 once per week for 1 1/2 hours (at a regularly scheduled time). Group socialization meetings are held twice per month. Child Development Center: Madison and Sioux Falls (ages 4 weeks - 3 years) can receive early childhood services and childcare each day year-round at ICAP's childcare center.

A referral-based program offered to girls, ages 5 to 18, with unmet health needs. This program addresses physical, mental, and social health needs by connecting girls with service providers in the community. Girls are referred to the program by school counselors, teachers, parents, and health and social service agencies. Each girl is assigned an advocate who will: Connect her with the appropriate medical, dental, and mental health care services within the community. Offer referrals for tutoring or other services to meet her individual needs. Work closely with her family and school to ensure her success. Assist her in learning and developing patterns of behavior that will enhance her health. Emphasize the value of regular school attendance and good study habits. Instill the importance of responsibility, self-esteem, and community involvement.

Collects and distributes dysphagia supplies to individuals in need, establish a dysphagia awareness advocacy program, provide education services relating to appropriate prescription and use of dysphagia supplies, and conducting research to improve the equitable distribution of dysphagia supplies to people in need and improve the autonomy of people with feeding and swallowing disorders. ​The Dysphagia Food Bank provides tangible assistance to low income individuals with dysphagia across the lifespan by providing access to thickeners, pre-modified foods, therapy tools, oral care supplies, and adaptive equipment. The food bank is available to all 50 states.

Offering a wide variety of outpatient physical therapy services including: orthopedics, spine care, sports medicine, headaches, TMJ management, dry needling, post-surgical rehab, aquatic therapy, hand therapy, chronic pain, amputee rehab, women's health, pediatric physical therapy, accidents & injuries, kinesiotaping, custom orthotics, and vestibular rehabilitation. Also offers virtual sessions for those who are not able to make it into the clinic.

Offers a family-centered approach to care and is committed to providing only the most appropriate services based on regular assessments of your needs. Staff has been trained and tested in the care of dementia patients and are supervised and evaluated regularly by Registered Nurses. Services offered are home health, companionship, homemaking assistance, respite care, pediatrics, home care & support services, medical staffing, and long term care assessments.

Co-Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of people whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships. The only requirement for membership is a desire for healthy and loving relationships. A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Offers in person counseling as well as telehealth options. Provides a variety of mental health services. Some of those services include: treatment for eating disorders, substance abuse evaluations, internet addiction evaluation and treatment, therapy for individuals with dual intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health, caregiver counseling, ambiguous loss counseling, as well as trauma services, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Provides the following: individual counseling, substance abuse counseling, psychological assessments, outpatient substance abuse treatment, grief/bereavement counseling, dialectical behavioral therapy, child abuse survivor counseling for adults, family counseling, mental health screening, trauma informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, adolescent/youth counseling, parent counseling, spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, and internet (tele-health) counseling. Also provides supervision for licensure for LPC, MPC-MH, and LCSW.

Advocates for increased self-determination, independence, productivity, and a healthy and satisfying quality of life for self-advocates and the community at large. A community food distribution held on Tuesday mornings at the Kiwanis 4-H Ice Center. ​Groceries are available and varies from week to week.

An early childhood/parental parent engagement program for American Indian families in BIE-funded schools. Program services integrate language and culture, and provide resources and support for families with children from prenatal to grade 3. Goals of the program include supporting parents/primary caregivers as their child's first and most influential teacher, to increase family literacy, to strengthen family-school-community connections, services for the early identification of children with special needs, parent engagement, whether it be full-time, part-time, or flex-time status, and to promote lifelong learning. Family and Child Education Program (FACE) offers school readiness home-based program, assessments, center-based setting, meals and transportation provided for center-based families, parenting skills, adult education / GED completion, and career planning, college preparation, job readiness.

Community Outreach assists people who are struggling with basic financial and non-financial needs by providing information, referral to other resources, and where appropriate, financial assistance in the following areas:

Clutterers Anonymous (CLA) is a 12-Step program modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous, where individuals share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem with clutter and help each other to recover. CLA is self-supporting through individual members' voluntary contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. CLA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine.

Retail pharmacy and a medication disposal site. Services provided are immunizations, medical equipment/supplies, smoking cessation, and pain management. Also sells OTC medications.

K-5 (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) provides care and programming outside of classroom hours in several locations in Sioux Falls, Brandon and Harrisburg. Helps residents of Yankton County with the following: food pantry, utility assistance, including past due and disconnect bills for water, lights, and heating, gasoline, partial rent, representative payee system, and emergency medication assistance. Contact Center does not help with any kind of deposit (rent, utility, etc.)

Home care and home health services are a comprehensive approach to delivering both skilled and non-skilled care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. These services are designed to support patients in maintaining their independence, managing chronic conditions, recovering from illness or surgery, and improving overall health and quality of life. Skilled Services Home health care includes a range of skilled clinical services provided by licensed professionals. These services are typically prescribed by a physician and may include: Nursing Care - Monitoring health status, managing medications, wound care, and providing education on disease management. NOTE: Medication management alone is not a skilled need under Medicare guidelines. Physical Therapy - Assisting patients in regaining strength, mobility, and functional ability following illness, injury, or surgery. Occupational Therapy - Helping individuals improve their ability to perform daily activities and promoting adaptations to increase safety and independence at home. Speech Therapy - Addressing communication disorders, cognitive-linguistic impairments, and swallowing difficulties. Home Care Services Home care focuses on assisting with daily living activities and creating a safe, comfortable living environment. These services are typically provided by trained aides or caregivers and may include:

• Personal Care - Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Homemaking Services - Support with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Respite Care - Provided to give caregivers and loved ones relief.
• Adult Companionship - Focuses on providing social interaction, emotional support, and meaningful engagement.

My Neighbor serves as a bridge, offering assistance and resources through: information and referral; assessing the needs for financial assistance to include gaps and ensuring that the funding gets to those who truly have crisis needs, and using the available resources and tools to help solve situations, to prevent this same situation from re-surfacing, and to improve someone's situation for the long term and in essence creating a self-reliant member of the Brookings community. The program can cover some items that are not normally covered (i.e. daycare); it depends on the situation, but the key is based upon self sufficiency. Also, people do not qualify just because of income, low or otherwise, the eligibility comes from the specific case. This program is to be considered a LAST resort, meaning referrals will be given to clients to check out before any assistance is given. The program MAY BE ABLE TO HELP with the following: rent, rent deposit, utility bills that are current, past due, or disconnection notice for water, lights, heating, and trash, utility deposits for water, lights, and heating, daycare, small car repairs, car payment (if employed), and small health care needs. Employment is the main criteria for assistance. Recent job loss can be considered if employment history is consistent. The program DOES NOT HELP with the following: cable, cell/phone, internet, shelter in the form of temporary housing or hotel stays, transportation in the form of gasoline, bus tickets, or taxi, personal needs such as furniture, clothing, laundry, personal or hygiene needs, Christmas presents, food or meals, and prescriptions My Neighbor program is for people that LIVE and WORK in Brookings.

Services provided: finance, water, sewer and garbage, utilities, zoning, building permits, ordinances, and parks & recreation (parks, camping, swimming pool).

Raising awareness and advocate for people living with Tourette's Syndrome. Examples include educational materials, social media campaigns, research development, maintaining a resource library, and hosting in-person and virtual trainings, support groups, and workshops for the general public.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.
