Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) is a supplemental food program that enables eligible households to obtain a more nutritious diet. Eligibility is determined by income, resources, and household size. Lost, stolen, or damaged EBT (SNAP) cards must call customer service to report the loss of your card. You will need to enter the card number. If you do not have the card, stay on the line for a second prompt and press 2. Reporting an EBT card as lost, stolen, or damaged will result in that card being declined.

If eligible, depending upon availability of funds, services may include: on the job training assistance, job search/placement assistance, financial support for education training and job placement, and supportive services such as, but not limited to: rental assistance and transportation costs, daycare expenses, tools, uniforms, and food.

Financial assistance is provided to households who are willing to go through financial education and learn to be accountable for their spending and saving. Services include supportive housing for adults, rapid re-housing for families, homeless prevention for families, rental assistance, utility assistance, financial advising and education, food box program, clothing closet for adult and children, representative payee services for individuals on SSI/SSDI, and street outreach.

The Repair Affair program has volunteers do free accessibility related repairs for elderly or permanently disabled homeowners. Event will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Projects considered include wheelchair ramps, handrails, grab bars and replacement of knobs to levers. The deadline for completed applications will be Friday, May 1, 2026. To qualify, an applicant must meet the following criteria: Applicant must own and occupy the home Applicant or dependent, must have a permanent disability OR be 65 years of age or older The home must be within Lincoln, Minnehaha, McCook or Turner counties Applicant's home must be a single-family dwelling. For children, play therapy addresses many issues including physical, sexual and emotional abuse, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, recovery from traumatic events, divorce, and foster or adoptive situations. Individual and family counseling for children and teens addresses behavior disorders, family and relationship issues, parenting concerns, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harming behaviors, chronic mental illness, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. Sessions often focus on exploring and shifting core beliefs through resolving past issues. For adults, sessions blend Cognitive Behavioral and Client Centered Therapies with Energy Psychology techniques to understand how their issues may be influenced by past trauma. By identifying dysfunctional core beliefs and resolving the events/emotions that helped create those false beliefs, clients can move forward with more joy, less stress and confidence in their own power to heal. Sessions utilize energy balancing and clearing techniques (Emotional Freedom Technique, Emotional Code/Body Code, Matrix Reimprinting and Vibroaccoustic Therapy) as appropriate to release blocked emotions and energy for clients of all ages. Flexible scheduling allows for sessions to be held in the office or other community settings when possible, and telehealth sessions are available.
