An evidence-based and practice informed program that has been shown to effectively influence components of grief and grief recovery. Based on over 40 years of practice dealing with grief and working one on one with grievers, the GRM program helps reduce grief by teaching grievers new skills on how to cope and process grief; how to confront old myths or unhelpful patterns of grieving; how to examine the ways in which grief has impacted their life through detailed assignments and exercises; and how to let go of pain from loss through the timely identification of apologies, forgiveness, and significant emotional statements, all within a helpful, supportive environment. There are 4 programs; 8-week support group, 7-week one on one, 4-week Helping Children Deal with Loss, and 6-week for Pet Loss. Wellness/Brain Health Coaching is a psycho-education program for working with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, self efficacy, ADD, ADHD, and addictions which address the four circles of health and healing: biology, psychology, social, and spiritual. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.

Client-centered, cognitive behavioral and energy based counseling for children, teens, adults, and families. For children, play therapy addresses many issues including physical, sexual and emotional abuse, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, recovery from traumatic events, divorce, and foster or adoptive situations. Individual and family counseling for children and teens addresses behavior disorders, family and relationship issues, parenting concerns, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harming behaviors, chronic mental illness, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. Sessions often focus on exploring and shifting core beliefs through resolving past issues. For adults, sessions blend Cognitive Behavioral and Client Centered Therapies with Energy Psychology techniques to understand how their issues may be influenced by past trauma. By identifying dysfunctional core beliefs and resolving the events/emotions that helped create those false beliefs, clients can move forward with more joy, less stress and confidence in their own power to heal. Sessions utilize energy balancing and clearing techniques (Emotional Freedom Technique, Emotional Code/Body Code, Matrix Reimprinting and Vibroaccoustic Therapy) as appropriate to release blocked emotions and energy for clients of all ages. Flexible scheduling allows for sessions to be held in the office or other community settings when possible, and telehealth sessions are available.

Purpose is to help residents of Sturgis / Newell who call in to request assistance, or need referrals to deal with life's challenges. The phones are not manned 24/7. CHOICES Residential Services program serves adolescents and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral/emotional or psychiatric disorders. The Used 2 Be New in Clark (Clark County) has clothing and other household goods for persons who wish to use the store's services. If an income eligible person or family cannot afford to purchase the clothing, the Community Service Worker in that county can provide a voucher that allows the person or family to get the clothing at no charge.

A non-profit, pay-what-you-can cafe. People may donate for the meals by cash, credit or volunteer an hour for their meal. There is a $3.00 minimum to select an item from the menu. If individuals wish to volunteer for their meal, volunteering is at 8:00am or 1:00pm. Information for non-profits wanting to make a referral: Family meal referrals can be requested by local non-profit organizations 48 hours prior, details needed include: family name, contact number, number in household & distribution information.
