Provides assistance in the education of children who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) offering support and consultative services to homes, daycares, and schools. Children in South Dakota who have been professionally identified as DHH may be eligible for services. These services include: information on hearing level, assistive technology, language development, and communication opportunities; participation in the development of an individualized Family Service Plan; communication choice support of sign language skills/or training to facilitate listening and spoken language; demonstration of the use of hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM/DM systems, or other forms of listening technology; collaboration with other service providers; and social opportunities and networking for the Deaf community, as well as connecting families raising children who are DHH.

A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Psychotherapy group meeting for adolescents age 13 - 18 (still in school), facilitated by a trained mental health professional. Group uses a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and coping skills to help adolescents develop strategies to manage daily stress and emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.

Retail pharmacy and a medication disposal site. Services provided are immunizations, medical equipment/supplies, smoking cessation, and pain management. Also sells OTC medications.

Counseling for individuals, couples, and families on a variety of issues (including abuse). Individual and group licensure supervision for LPC, LPC-MH, and LMFT candidates. Consultation, training, staff development, and conflict management services are available for businesses and churches.

K-5 (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) provides care and programming outside of classroom hours in several locations in Sioux Falls, Brandon and Harrisburg. Activities are designed to meet each age level's academic, social and emotional needs. Signature programs offer additional options for character and leadership, health and wellness, sports and recreation and Education/STEM/Arts focus. Scholarships are available for families in need.

The Sanford Mom2Be Center offers services to help pregnant people and their support systems find answers about pregnancy, labor options, and resources. Pregnancy preparation classes are offered online and in person from traditional labor and delivery classes to more tailored options to help you feel prepared and confident.

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program designed to assist families and their children during the developmental years of 3-5 years of age. The program provides for health care services, educational services, and special needs services for the enrolled child and the opportunity for parents to be engaged in the decision making processes that affect their child's readiness for school. A free weekly meal open to those in need of food for the belly or soul, served in the SonShine Room of the church.

Provides a nutritious and kid-friendly package of food to children 18 years old or younger in need over the weekends during the summer months. Families may receive one backpack per child once a week. Children must be present to receive food. No income guidelines or paperwork is required. Visit the website to see a listing of upcoming dates. This will be updated throughout the summer. Bright Start is a community-based, voluntary program which implements the evidence based Nurse Family Partnership model to provide nurse home visitation services to families during pregnancy and may continue until the child's second birthday. ​Services include prenatal, maternal and infant/child health assessments and education; and health, safety and nutrition education. Families are linked with resources such as prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric medical care, family planning services, mental health services, job training, literacy services, employment opportunities, housing, substance abuse treatment, early childhood assessment and intervention opportunities, and other community resources. A mental health therapist is also available to provide individual and family therapy to the clients.

Offers the following services: primary care, birth control, morning-after pill (emergency contraception), breast and chest exams including mammogram referrals if necessary, HIV testing, LGBTQ Services, men's health care, pregnancy testing and services, STD testing/treatment/vaccines, women's health care, gender affirming hormone therapy (GAHT), HPV vaccinations, Hepatitis B vaccinations, and Flu shots. Telehealth visits are available on Tuesdays for some of these services.

Community Education offers a variety of classes including on-line classes, music, language, computer, physical and emotional health and fitness, home property, hobby, travel, and personal enrichment for adults and youth. Provides Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Healthcare Services through various programs. General public health services include professional nursing and nutrition information and guidance on health, safety, and nutrition for individuals, families, and communities. Services such as influenza vaccinations and screenings for blood pressure, hearing, vision, and hemoglobin are available at a fee. Maternal Child Healthcare provides Infant Sleep Safety services, immunizations, and pregnancy support services. Infant Sleep Safety services provide education on infant safe sleep practices and link families to resources when the purchase of a crib is a financial hardship. ​Immunizations services are available for children from birth through age 18 for all universally recommended vaccinations including influenza. The Vaccines for Children's Program provides vaccines for children who are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccinations, are Medicaid eligible, or are Native American or Alaskan Native. For families with insurance coverage, the Department of Health is an in-network provider for Sanford, Avera/Dakotacare, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. ​Pregnancy Support Services include regular visits with a nurse to share information about pregnancy, to provide assistance in obtaining early and on-going prenatal care from a qualified healthcare provider, and to link women to resources they may need to support a healthy pregnancy. Teaching topics may include: how your body is changing and how your baby is growing; eating healthy and gaining the right amount of weight; warning signs or symptoms that indicate you should contact your doctor; breastfeeding education and support; and caring for you and your baby after delivery. The Watertown and Sisseton locations are also able to provide car seats for all ages at no cost.
