Offers assisted housing, public housing authority, security deposit and rental assistance for the elderly, people with disabling conditions, and families meeting low-income guidelines. Does not offer emergency housing assistance. Families pre-apply and are placed on the waiting list. As opening become available families are contacted. Families are given a voucher to rent with in the community or rent an apartment or home from HRCP. Yearly qualifications are required from the tenant to maintain tenancy. The rent payment assistance has a waiting list and is not an emergency rent payment assistance option.

Provides housing rental assistance to low-income families, seniors and disabled individuals as well as security deposit assistance.

Provides the following services: housing counseling, credit counseling, support services and referrals, Veterans' assistance, homebuyer programs, rehab assistance, food security assistance, small business counseling, financial literacy and homebuyer education, after school nutrition program, construction trades and skills training, coordinating homebuying experience from intake to closing, COVID-19 community food and essentials relief, and homeless outreach services and relief.

Provides short or long term rental assistance and mortgage payment assistance to persons who are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and meet income limitations. Case management services available for both housing and non-housing issues Assistance with security deposit and other housing-related supportive services may be available There is a waiting list for rental and mortgage assistance

This is a tenant-based voucher program for persons or families who are homeless and have struggled with chronic homelessness and suffer from severe and persistent mental health issues. It allows qualified individuals/families to receive rental assistance in the unit of their choice as long as it meets HUD's Housing Quality Standards. The assistance travels with the tenant and can be transferred anywhere within the city limits of Sioux Falls. The client must agree to participate in case management.

Repeat home buyer loan program offers low interest, fixed rate mortgage loans and cash assistance Governors' House Program for income qualified individuals and families. Administers federal programs for development and management of multifamily housing, housing counseling, and homelessness services. Home buyer education Down payment assistance Home improvement loans i.e.. CHIP (Community Home Improvement Program) which is for low income homeowners (limit is 120% of median income) to make repairs or improvements to their home. Interest rate is 2.9%.
