A joint effort of the Scottish Rite Foundation of South Dakota and the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at USD with support from the Sioux Empire United Way. The clinic's purpose is to provide evaluation, treatment, and outreach services for children birth to 21 years in the Sioux Falls area with speech, language, and literacy deficits. Also provides a training site for graduate students in Speech Language/Pathology. Examples of disorders seen include children who are late talking, who have articulation disorders, language disorders, stuttering difficulties, hearing losses, etc. The clinic also serves as a diagnostic center for written language / dyslexia. There is a minimal fee for services; no one is denied due to an inability to pay. Referrals are taken from parents, professionals, and family members.

Provides dyslexia, voice, stuttering, speech, language and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services for those whose concerns are developmental or acquired throughout life. Telehealth options are available where appropriate.

Goes to child centers and screens children (age 2 - 7 primarily) for speech and language development. If children do not pass the screening, recommendations are made for appropriate action. Only those children whose guardians sign them up are screened.

Services include Family medicine, Bone density screening, BOTOX® cosmetic rejuvenation, Concussion management, Glycolic facial peels, Laboratory, Occupational therapy, Office-based surgery, Physical therapy, Speech therapy, and X-ray.

Provides nursing facility care with 24-hour nursing services in a home-like atmosphere. Services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy, daily activities, nutrition services, hospice services and more. Facility is attached to Bowdle Healthcare Center hospital and clinic for easy access to medical and specialty services. ​

Home Health: Offered skilled home health services including nurses, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and home health aides providing care, support and education to allow patients to manage health conditions at home. Hospice: Offers a multidisciplinary team that addresses the patient and their family addressing physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and bereavement needs. Services include clinician on-call 24/7, pain management, guidance with Advanced Care Planning, forms, and financial care needs, provide medications, durable medical equipment, and supplies needed to treat life limiting illness, support and teach family/caregivers how to care for the patient, and grief/bereavement counseling for up to 13 months after the patient has passed away.

Provides home care and nursing services to anyone 18 years or older who needs assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) due to illness, injury, disability, or aging. Services take into consideration spiritual, physical and emotional needs. Provides assistance to individuals with varying abilities to live as independently as possible through home care services, companion care, personal care, and in-home nursing care.
